The hotel was excellent in all areas except the room was exceedingly small. The room was very well appointed but cramped. The location and service were great and the breakfast was very good. It had a good mix of western and Japanese dishes. Would definitely stay again.

Very good hotel located right in the centre of town only 5 minutes away from the railway station and just across from the bus station. Rooms are rather small, but convenient furnished. Friendly service (as usual). Selection of newspapers at the lobby.

Well situted near station. Efficient and friendly staff. Room typical Japanese city hotel - comfortable but not much room. Have coin laundry as well as other vending machines - we found this useful.Breakfast good with good Japanese/western mix. Recommended.

My husband and I stayed at Matsumoto Tokyo Inn for two nights. Very easy to find from the train station as you actually can see it from there :P We had coffee and tea available at the room and free wifi. Nice :-) Nice room, clean and tidy, yet not very big, but that is quite typical in japan to... More

We were on a group tour and had arranged to stay one night at this hotel. The rooms were small. The beds were OK. The breakfast was average for the western food, had good yogurt. The carpets in the dinning room were dirty and full of stains. The management should take care of it.

We chose this hotel based on location and price, both were spot on. 2 minutes from the railway station and across from the bus terminal. We arrived early afternoon, reception staff clearly couldn't be bothered with early (1pm) arrival When we returned to check the staff were equally disinterested. Normally customer service in Japan is excellent with everyone being super... More

got a room very last minute after a change in plans; very accommodating staff. basic room, decent size for japan. excellent location near the station. the price paid is an amazing value for what's offered. only critical comment was the vent system blew in some smoke from a smoking room.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is very close to the JR station. And it is just next to the bus station. If you take a bus from Tokyo, this hotel is the right choice. Given the price tag, this hotel is one of the best value hotels we can find in Matsumoto. The shopping mall... More

We stayed for 2 nights with our family in mid August 2013. The room is a bit small but clean, and quite comfortable. The A/C were not cold enough for summer and sometimes make strange noise. The location is very convenient, less than 5 mins walk from train station and located in quiet area. The receptionist was very helpful, quick... More

We stayed at Matsumoto Tokyu Inn in late July 2013. The Inn is located about a 2 minute walk from Matsumoto Station. You can see it from the Station's exit - so it is a very easy walk with wheeled luggage etc. The Inn is also in the centre of Matsumoto, surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a restaurant...
