We stayed for one night Only, sadly. The place is lovely, very nicely decorated. Also the attached restaurant offers very good food for very reasonable prices. What really made this place for us was the staff: everybody was super friendly and tried everything to help us along.

it was my first visit, I impressed with the hospitality. Easy check in/out. The staffs don't speak English well but they managed to help me find a massaseur. It was hard to find the hotel location and a bit far from station. Limited selection for breakfast. Comfortable bed and clean room. but hey... I am going to stay there again... More

The room was big enough and comfy, although we would prefer a double bed, instead of 2 tween. Big bathroom with all the toiletries. The staff is very polite and efficient, although there was no bell boy to assist us with the luggage. Few minutes walk to Matsumoto castle. The breakfast is OK, but relatively limited choice. I would stay... More

The bedrooms were luxurious and the bedding even more so, we slept very comfortably. Staff were friendly and professional. The location was perfect for exploring the city, within walking distance to the castle, train station, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was of good quality, although a limited selection for vegetarians (true of most hotels across Japan) and only serve until 8.30am... More

After a week staying in traditional ryokans, the incredibly soft beds and fluffy pillows were a welcome and much needed change. The hotel is a bit hard to find, but once you get there, everything is wonderful. It's very close to Matsumoto Castle and other local attractions. Complimentary pajamas for each guest are a nice touch, as well. The shower... More

We spent two nights at this hotel in March 2015. Reception staff were very kind and helpful - they went out of their way to assist us with directions and restaurant reservations. Rooms were newly renovated and while small, very comfortable. Beds were extremely comfortable (I have a bad back and this bed gave me the best sleep in a... More

This is a well-appointed hotel near the main local sightseeing attraction: Matsumoto Castle (which is why we chose it). The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The Deluxe twin room was good, although we didn't have a view of the castle. The only problem we had was that our weekend there coincided with a big wedding party at the hotel.... More

You need to ask yourself what are your plans in Matsumoto. Mine was to visit the castle and after that head out to Magome. Because of the time needed to travel outwards, thus I spent 1 night in Matsumoto. This is 1 fabulous hotel. I had the best sleep here among other accomodation during the 1 wk spent in Nagano... This is an excellent little hotel, located a few blocks from Matsumoto Castle. Staff spoke English reasonably well, for the most part, and were helpful and solicitous of our needs. The hotel structure seems quite new, and the lobby is attractive, with modern design. (And free tea all day, which was nice while waiting for people to assemble.) The room... More

We spent one night here on our way back from visiting the snow monkeys. The hotel is attractive from the outside and the staff were most helpful. We did have to pay for parking which was initially supposed to be free but it was only 500 yen so was a good as we got to park out front. Our family... More
