Literally 1 block from the Matsumoto castle and a short walk to train station. If you drive, make sure you reserve the hotel parking space when you book (¥1,000 per day). There are a few bicycles that you can borrow for free. We rode to the city art museum, which has Yayoi Kusama's permanent exhibition :) The hotel itself is... More

We decided to stay here as we had little time in the city and it is so well situated for visiting Matsumoto Castle and the old part of the city. Our room was fairly small, but absolutely clean, comfortable and had everything we needed; and all the staff we talked with were very helpful and polite. Breakfast in the morning... More

Very good business hotel with contemporary rooms in good location between the JR station and the castle. Service and amenities are excellent. The castle is one of the finest in Japan and reason alone to come to Matsumoto. We were here in peak cherry blossom week and practically had the castle to ourselves. By comparison Himeji castle is mobbed, although... More

Good hotel, clean and nice, centrally located; walking-distance to Mastumoto castle!. Rooms of a good size. Good breakfast. WLAN free, We stayed there for a night with a travel group, booked through German agency.

Stayed for one night only and fully satisfied! The room was big enough, breakfast was good..from western to japanese, loved how they designed a small bathroom into beautiful one, their shampoo&hand soap smelled so good, and just took 5-10 mins to familymart and 7evelen by walk. This hotel was near Matsumoto Castle.

We stayed for one night Only, sadly. The place is lovely, very nicely decorated. Also the attached restaurant offers very good food for very reasonable prices. What really made this place for us was the staff: everybody was super friendly and tried everything to help us along.

it was my first visit, I impressed with the hospitality. Easy check in/out. The staffs don't speak English well but they managed to help me find a massaseur. It was hard to find the hotel location and a bit far from station. Limited selection for breakfast. Comfortable bed and clean room. but hey... I am going to stay there again... More

The room was big enough and comfy, although we would prefer a double bed, instead of 2 tween. Big bathroom with all the toiletries. The staff is very polite and efficient, although there was no bell boy to assist us with the luggage. Few minutes walk to Matsumoto castle. The breakfast is OK, but relatively limited choice. I would stay... More

The bedrooms were luxurious and the bedding even more so, we slept very comfortably. Staff were friendly and professional. The location was perfect for exploring the city, within walking distance to the castle, train station, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was of good quality, although a limited selection for vegetarians (true of most hotels across Japan) and only serve until 8.30am... More

After a week staying in traditional ryokans, the incredibly soft beds and fluffy pillows were a welcome and much needed change. The hotel is a bit hard to find, but once you get there, everything is wonderful. It's very close to Matsumoto Castle and other local attractions. Complimentary pajamas for each guest are a nice touch, as well. The shower... More
