After more than 3 hours express ride from Shinjuku Station, I reached the Matsumoto station. From the exit, look up across the road about 200 meters from the station, you can never miss the Dormy Inn Hotel signage. I stayed at this hotel for a day and it was way too short for me to fully enjoy the facilities. Everything... More

A short walk from the Matsumoto train station, this hotel is perfect. The Dormy Inn is located in the center of town, near several malls, lots of street shopping, and countless restaurants. The staff was very polite and friendly. Yes, the room is small, but there were some unexpected treats. First, there's the huge breakfasts with a wide variety of... More

The onsen was fantastic, a must if you stay at this hotel! The free ramen for dinner was a nice surprise. The room was very clean, spacious, and well equipped. Good value for the price. The ambient soundtrack playing in the hallways was very relaxing!

Try the public bathroom like a real japanese !!! very clean hotel, with good location. The city is very beautiful and quiet. Perfect for visiting the castle in short time ( location between the castle and train station) !

I was thoroughly impressed by everything about my stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly, the room had everything I needed, the breakfast was excellent, and the in-house onsen was very enjoyable. I got all this and I paid just a little over $80 Canadian. Excellent location, just a short walk between the train station and the castle. When I... More

This hotel you can walk to easily in 10-15 minutes from the train station. It is straight up one street and you see it on your right side. Most of the sites were walking distance to the hotel. Around the train station there are many restaurants. On the top floor is a public bath which was nice. There is an... More

This hotel is straight down the road from the railway station. The rooms are comfortable. The staff provided great service. Matsumoto castle is only a short walk and there are some very good local eating establishments nearby. Try the onsen baths if you haven't had the experience it is worth the effort. Breakfast was excellent for the price. Our party... More

Generally hotels in Japan are good and the personal is attentive and superpolite. Here its more tha that . Hot soup in the evening, coffee in the afternoon are great things to remember your stay here. But i'll remember their public baths. High, on the last floor under the dark sky it was smething to remember. And small touches again... More

Lovely hotel and in the heart of Matsumoto. This place doesn't have a lot of personality compared to a ryokan. But what it lacks in personality, it more than makes up for with their extremely clean premises (an onsen!), delicious breakfast buffet, free ramen and helpful staff (they gave us a map of all the best places to eat at... The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from Matsumoto JR station, and well located for access to shops, bars and restaurants. Staff are very efficient, friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is very good and the room was nice and clean - although the decor was a little worn and souless in design. The rooftop Onsen is very well-maintained, and consists... More
