The location is great as it is just 300m from the train station and right next to the coach station. If you want to locate the hotel , look for the coach station. There are coaches going to Takayama and Nagoya. You won't miss it. There is a big supermarket at the basement of the coach station. The hotel is... More

On the positive side: The hotel is very well located, just accross the street from the train station (but there are a few more hotels very nearby) and near the main attractions. At the steet level there is a 24 hours convenience shop. There are several nearby restaurants. The staff speaks better English than usual in Japan. The breakfast was... More

We stayed one night in this hotel as a stop after visiting the Japan Alps. This hotel is just few meters outside the JR station, so very well located if you plan to take a train the day after. This was the cheapest business hotel during our trip in Japan (6500 yens). As always, good quality level for an hotel... More

We stayed for one night in a Double Room. Overall the hotel is average - clean, small room - adequate for a one night stay. The location is superb across from the train station and within walking distance to all the sights. Many restaurants nearby, didn't have the breakfast based on the other reviews.

Very small room. Don't waste your money on breakfast. Because the dining room is not large they have sitting times so you can't go when you want to. We were told the time we chose would be too busy so we had to pick another time. We ended up going at the time that was convenient to us and there... More

These were the last rooms left in town on this bank holiday weekend, according to the tourist office. But we were very satisfied with our find, which was just what we needed for our one-night stay: convenient location, free use of their computer (and computers are available to rent too, for 1000 yen a night), free tea and coffee in... hotel situated right across the Matsumoto train station. Size was bigger than the ave Japanese hotel for this price range. Only a 20 min pleasant walk to the "must see" Matsumoto Castle. Rooms were clean and came with basic ammenities including free LAN. Restaurants aplenty within the vicinity and a mall just next door. Strongly recomend for business or if... More

We stayed here because it was across the road from the train station and virtually above the bus station (and we were in a hurry). No regrets though. Cheap and cheerful with the only downside being that the bed was too big for the room and you couldn't actually walk around it. Free wifi in the restaurant and would recommend... More

I booked this hotel upon seeing an onine discount, thought I was lucky, but was then completely disappointed. There are actually 2 things positive about this hotel. First, it's very close to the train station, which make it to be in great location. Second, the hotel restaurant is located in top (10th) floor. So you can enjoy some great view... More

Less than a 5 minute walk from the train and bus station, Toko City hotel is very well located for the traveller, especially when there's heavy luggage involved! Downstairs at the hotel entrance (the lobby is on top floor) is a 24-hour convenience store. Staff are polite, but don't speak a lot of English, but this wasn't a problem. Rooms... More
