This is our first stay at the Nikko. We did not have great expectations as this city is not exactly a major city for international business. We were therefore surprised by how well it is run. I stayed on the executive floor in a recently renovated junior suite. The bathroom was divided into a carpeted area and a stone "wet"... More

This hotel has it all! It's conveniently located across from JR Station and surrounded by many fine restaurants and shops. The rooms are spacious and filled with lovely amenities. Our room faced towards the hills and offered a marvelous view of a lunar eclipse when we were there in October 2014. What a treat! Future hotel guests may wish to... More

We have a twin room on 19th floor. It's very spacious with all new fittings. Immaculately clean and very comfortable. Had 2 sunny days but now cold and wet and we have enjoyed watching the storms come over the city. Spectacular! Lovely mountains in the distance. Food in the hotel is very expensive so we go to the underground pass... More

We would definetly go back to this hotel very convenient for bus station and train station. We had a beautiful room on the 26thfloor over looking the city. Lady concierge was MOST helpful and suggested an excellent tour for the day starting with Suzuki Museum and to top it all up she recommended for lunch and dinner 2 excellent restaurants... More

The hotel is conveniently located across from Kanazawa station, which made it very easy to catch a bus from wherever we were, since most buses end up at Kanazawa station. There were also many good restaurants nearby, including a great Izakaya restaurant (whose name escapes me) in the underpass between the hotel and the train station. Kenrokuen is a longish... More

The LAN internet worked very well and was extremely fast. The hotel can't be missed when you come out of the train station. It towers over everything else. The staff were helpful, friendly, and spoke good English. The lobby is large and luxurious; the rooms, however, are small and basic, with the bed pushed against the wall so that one... More

We spent 3 great days at the Nikko hotel. The staff were all very helpful, the room was on a high floor with view towards the castle. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have encountered. Only downside is the cover charge to the bars. This is not unusual in Japan but I don't like it when applied... More

We stayed at the Hotel Nikko for 2 nights. We arrived in the middle of a storm and had trouble locating the hotel at first. The hotel is just a few minutes from the station: from the east exit, cross the road and turn right. It's the tallest bldg. with a JAL sign on the side. The receptionist was professional... More

From the outside the Nikko looks much nicer but having stayed in both, the Nikko's rooms are much much smaller, older and in general smokier and more expensive. Nikko rooms honestly so small it is better not to have luggage. Neither is fantastic but if you need to be by the Kanazawa station ー ANA is better value.

We experienced a lovely relaxing stay at the Nikko Kanazawa. The staff are all very welcoming and very happy to help. As previous reviews have stated, the higher up the room the better the view over the city! We had a lovely stylish room that offered beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The size of the room was pretty standard but... More
