This is a typical japanese old styled hotel not properly in the city centre and in the neighborhoods no one restaurant can be found. Rooms are quite large vs the japanese standards but need to be refurbished if asking 50,000 JPY per night. The breakfast is traditionally for japanese guest and the continental proposal is very poor.

Dear Bepomandi, Thank you for taking time to review your recent stay with us, we thoroughly value and appreciate your feedback. We were very disappointed to read that on this occasion we failed to meet your expectations regarding quality of room and breakfast you had. We were especially sorry to hear that you did not enjoy our hotel. The Kanazawa... More

As I'm a single traveler I got a Japanese-style room ("Washitsu"). All Western-style rooms are twin occupancy only. Had a decent view of the castle park. The best part was the staff...full-out "omotenashi". They were absolutely wonderful and genuinely concerned that I have an enjoyable stay. Their onsen, which I guess is the only one in Kanazawa, is quite nice.... More

This was our first visit to Kanazawa and the Hakuchoro Hotel was our second choice as our first ryokan option was full. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, an easy 10 minute walk to Kanazawa Castle, the Kenrokuen Gardens, and both the Higashi Chaya and Kazue Macha districts.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Sanraku - large, Western rooms; excellent dining room (we had wonderful lunch and dinner); on-site onsen; and a great location near the Castle and the Kenroukuen and Gyokusen gardens (both a must). The "old world" description might also be called "dated" - but don't let this keep you away - it's part... More

If you are visiting Kanazawa to visit the Kenroukuen Gardens and the 21st Century Museum of Art, there is probably no better place to stay than this hotel. The staff is friendly, the breakfast buffet is very good, the rooms are decent and there is the extra benefit that hot spring public baths are available in this hotel. The hotel... More

The location next to the Castle Garden is fantastic. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are good. Plus, it is walking distance to the fish market and gold leaf area. These are terrific reasons to book at this hotel. If your breakfast is included, and our breakfast was, you will find a delicious Japanese breakfast buffet with a huge number... More

This cozy and intimate hotel delivers nice luxuries at a reasonable fee. Warm and friendly staff, comfortable facilities that pay homage to the early 20th century buildings still standing in the neighborhood, and nice touches such as complimentary beverages, gourmet breakfast buffet, and a mineral spa. The hotel is also centrally located so that all the major sites in Kanazawa... More

We stayed here for just one night. Very good position, just 1 minutes by walk from one of the castle main entrance. Quite a luxury hotel with a very nice old-fashioned hall. Small room, too bad the bathroom... Avoid the restaurant. Anyway, a good hotel to visit the main highlights of Kanazawa.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location, near Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden, is fantastic. The staff was very helpful, and the onsen enjoyable. We had a great dinner in their European restaurant, Polso
