We were on a Group Tour and it so happened that it was the weekend of City Holiday, Festival, and Parades in Kanazawa. This added greatly to our stay! We were able to have Breakfast at the Main New Grand Hotel (top floor), and they had a person making individual egg omelets. How Nice! The beds were Not comfortable although... More

The Kanazawa New Grand Hotel Annex was a pleasant surprise. Unlike modern Japanese chain hotels, the New Grand Annex has the charm, elegance and space of another time - 1994. I found my single room to be large, for Japan, compared to the modern tiny boxes with pixie size bathrooms. It was immaculately clean. The bathroom even had a nearly... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is in a great location near shopping, the Oyama Jinja Shrine, Omiecho market...and farther along, Kanazawa Castle, Kenrouken Garden, and the art museum. The staff was friendly, the rooms are small, a bit dated, but still comfortable. I think that, probably anywhere else in the world, I would have rated this... More

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and it was very god overall. Good size room with 2 large beds, closet and all the amenities. The location was great, near everything and you could walk to almost every sight. Right across from the Oyama Jinja Shrine, a short walk to the Kanazawa Castle, Kenrouken Garden, Omi-cho Market, shopping district and... More

Chose this hotel for its location and price and ease to book online. Ended up in the Annex rather than the Main, renovated part of hotel. Felt as if I was in a 2-star hotel, old furnishings, dead atmosphere, limited service, and felt just not very welcome as a foreigner. Really enjoyed Kanazawa, but couldn't wait to check out of... My wife and I stayed 2 nights here. The room was a good size (big by Japanese standards), clean and nicely appointed. Good location. Walking distance to Kenroku-en which we did both days, the samurai district and other sights. Even if you don't stay here make sure you are close to Kenrokuen. Included breakfast which was nice. I would recommend... More
