If you need something central this is for location. A short walk away to all the good Hida beef restuarants in the surrounds. Also alot of local places to frequent. We checked in at about 1:30 pm and was helped quickly, got my package for the pocket wi-fi delivered to the front desk and that was also helpful. No need... More

Location is good being just across the road from the station. Everything else is OK but not special. Internet is free and good, towels are very thin, rooms are quiet, breakfast OK. That just about sums it up, everything is OK but nothing is special. I would look elsewhere.

Directly opposite railway & bus stations & when its cold & snowing a good place to stay as the rooms are spotless every day, compact & basic but everything you need. Rooms are very quiet, beds on hard side, but good, deep bath. Very clean bedding, but typical Japanese pillows, so if that's a problem roll up some soft clothes.... More

It's a daunting slab of grey to look at but it is right opposite the station and only about 10 minutes walk from the historic traditional areas of Takayama, as well as the restaurants along the main and side streets (more about this below). So full marks for convenience. This was our first experience of Japanese hotels and we expected... More

We were stranded in Takayama because of a snowstorm and chose to stay in this hotel. We had previously stayed at the Takayama Ouan Hotel so it was quite a leap down in terms of hotel standards. While the location of this hotel is very convenient (it is just across the JR Takayama station), the room was dark and felt... More

Convenience is what this hotel is about. Cross the road in front of the hotel and you are at the train station and bus terminal. Step out of the hotel to the right are 2 restaurants that are still open when 90% of the restaurants are already closed before your stomach has had the opportunity to work up an appetite... More

Situated just across the road from Takayama train station, there could not be a better location than this. Remember, every thing u are going to do here in Takayama starts and ends at the Nohi bus center which is just beside the train station. At 10,000yen a night on weeken including breakfast for two is a good deal. The room... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was modern and welcoming. Great location across from the station in the centre of town. The rooms were extremely clean and compact. This hotel gave me my first experience of a Japanese breakfast (you can have a choice of western-style if you want) and it was a terrific introduction. It came with... More

Hotel is right across from the train station which was very convenient. Car hire was next door for next day's adventure. Hotel is up a flight of escalators. Rooms were small and basic but clean and again with all the usual toiletries. Pillows were a bit strange full of beads/stones but if you turned over there was a softer side.Breakfast... More

the hotel is located right across from the train station which is very convenient, however it's a 15-20 min walk to the old part of town which is the most interesting to visit and walk around. The room was very basic, small, clean but looks old and could profit from refurbishing. WiFi was free and worked properly. Breakfast was included... More
