Synopsis (Overall + Value) Good location, clean hotel. Pretty small room. We stayed in a twin room at £68/night (£34pp). Would try someplace else if I return to Takayama, as this place seems overpriced for what it is. Location Located within 30 seconds of takayama train and bus station. Lots of shops, restaurants and amenities nearby. Transfer You can literally... More

Well located directly opposite the railway station. Close to a Family Mart store. Cheap enough through booking.com. Service was a bit cursory however. When we checked out there was no one on the desk and no sign of anyone there. Room was usual size for Japan maybe even a bit bigger than normal. Wifi ok, but a little slow,

The hotel is just across the street from the train and bus station, but a bit far from the town's attractions. There are stores and restaurants nearby as well as an ATM center. As expected, bedroom and bathroom sizes are at par with most Japanese hotels. What's different is that you have 2 pillows, one typically contains feathers while the... More

Convenient location, directly opposite train station. Clean. Good shower. Hard beds with option of western or Japanese pillow. Japanese pillow is very hard - like a lump of gravel! Small fridge. Recommend "kotara" for dinner for delicious tonkatsu.

But we did! The is a fantastic hotel. The services was wonderful. All the staff met our expectation, friendly and courteous. They always greeted us with a smile and sometimes with an umbrella. The hotel is kept immaculately and housekeeping is professional and very helpful with their guests being a priority. When in the District we will always stay at... More

Very average hotel, nothing special but not too bad if you just need a basic place to sleep. Plus side is the location and fast internet in the room. Be careful if you have a car. The hotel charges for parking. This is not unusual for a city hotel, though the charge of 1200 is a bit expensive. The main... More

We were on our way to Tateyama and used this hotel as a stopover. Having no choice but smoking rooms only, we took a twin and were pleasantly surprised that the rooms did not smell of tobacco. They had deodorized the room before our check-in. Though a little small the room was clean and comfortable with hard mattresses. Location just... More

We only spend one night in this hotel, because everything was booked due to the Takayama festival. It was decent and clean, it is very well located (just in front of the train station) but quite expensive for what you get. If you don't have other choice, as we did, then why not ?

Rooms at this hotel are really small. Booked a twin room but there was scarcely space to lay your luggage. The airconditioner was not really working so we had to open the windows. Unfortunately the hotel is located next to a restaurant so cooking odours were present. There are no lifts (reception is up a level) so one needs to... More

there is nothing special with this hotel except for the location... located in front of the train station and the nohi bus terminal which caters to almost all the tours in takayama. there are restaurants and souvenir shops that closes later that the other shops and a family mart for your emergency needs. another thing, we were on a triple...
