I loved everything about this hotel that stands majestically on a hillside. A large room with a view over the valley, in which the town is nestled, to snow covered mountains beyond. Every member of staff at this hotel is geared up for the best possible service they can offer. Every staff member I passed greeted me and all were... More

This is a large hotel on the hill overlooking the city with views of the mountains. Lots of tour groups stay there. We were there at Spring Festival time. Unfortunately it was completely rained out and therefore cancelled. The room was large with a good bathroom. We ate at their Japanese restaurant twice, good food! I did not use the... More

Super hotel with spacious , well equipped rooms. It was a comfortable and warm stay as when we arrived the weather was extremely cold for April but after more snow at night, it began to thaw. The hotel is situated just outside Takayama but the shuttle bus runs every hour and links with the train station. A taxi ride from town... More

Stayed for one night here and we wished that we could have stayed more nights. Hotel Associa rooms are very nice with very nice view outside. All rooms face the side with the beautiful valley as it's view. We enjoyed very much our onsen experience at the hotel. Their onsen facilities are very nice with choices of different pools with... We stayed two nights at Hotel Associa Takayama. The hotel is a western style hotel and the room was clean and comfortable. Location is at the hillside with views of city of Takayama. There is a separate wing for "Rotenburo", outside hot springs, on the 5th and 7h floors, men and women on separate floors. There are about 6 different... More

We stayed here for one night with our Japanese friends and the highlight was the onsen, with the outdoor pools overlooking the town of Takayama and the snow capped mountains in the distance. The buffet breakfast is excellent and the shuttle bus to town just a ten minute ride. An excellent place to stay, clean and comfortable.

A large and imposing hotel a short distance from the town. A shuttle bus operates to and from the hotel/train station. On arrival by train exit to the right and the shuttle bus arrives on the half hour. It stops on the opposite side of the road in front of the Black Sea Cafe/Washington Hotel Plaza. The Associa has spacious... More

Stayed here for two nights while we were in Takayama. Really nice room. Wifi wasnt that good but usable. Breakfast had little variety but food was okay. The best part of the hotel, was the onsen. It was really nice and enjoying, soaking in onsen while it was snowing. Hotel, though quite a distance from the JR station, is made... More

We stayed at the Associa for two nights in January. The hotel has very helpful staff, offers great views over Takayama and has an onsen available. It offers Western and Japanese dining - with the Japanese restaurant on the sixth floor offering a limited menu at very reasonable prices. The buffet brekfast offered great variety. Our room was spacious and... More

We had 2 nights stay here during winter (2 adults and 1 child) in a triple room. The room was large and clean, one of the biggest rooms I have ever stayed in. And a large bathroom/ dressing room area. The views of the mountains and valley with town below were stunning in the snow. The onsen was also good... More
