Our dinner is arranged at 20:00 and finished at 21:30. It's too hurry compared to the dinner time at 17:30. But the 溫泉 is very comfortable and the meal is dilicious. The hotel mistook about my room charge and take almost 15 minutes to change the bill . It caused our schedule delayed.

What a treat! A short walk from the station and you're there. The entry area makes you feel right at home. Begin by taking your shoes off and placing them in one of the lockers. The room (Deluxe double) was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. While there is a good ensuite, make sure you use the public baths.... More

Hida Hanasatonoyu Takayama, Lovely traditional style hotel situated about 5 minutes walk from the Train/Bus station. Just walk out of the station, turn right , down the street about 100 yards or so. It's the tallest building on the right hand side. It's also within walking distance of the old town. It has a lovely entrance with a hot tub... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Easy to locate. As you step from the train station, simply turn right and walk towards the tall brown building at the end of the block and you have found it. Shoes are removed before you go past the check inn desk but they couldn't find a pair of size 13 slippers so I had to... More

Sensational breakfast each day. Rooftop onset was great to unwind, either in the public or private rooms. The whole hotel had a nice east meets west vibe; ryokan fused with a hotel. It was more than just a hotel, it was an experience. Highly recommended!

Generally this was a lovely hotel. There are mats on all the floors including the rooms which mean shoes aren't allowed which is fine except they meant the hotel had a very strange smell. We had to sleep with the window open as I found it quite sickening. Alternate floors are smoking and the smell carries slightly which I also... More

I stayed in this hotel back in 2011 and still think it's a great choice for Takayama. It's located 5 min walk from the train station and ten minutes walk to the old town. The hotel has very comfortable rooms. Breakfast in the morning should not be missed. It's buffet style and the food is excellent. There is an onset... More

We booked a Deluxe room of 21 m with half board for 2 nights. The bathroom and the toilet were dainty and the wash basin was outside the toilet. The bed was huge and occupied 1/2 of the room, so you can imagine the weird layout of the room. You have to take off your shoes when you go into... More

We visited Takayama on Spring festival period. The hotel seems to be popular as it's crowded during 2 days of our stay however the service is fast enough about checking in and out. Rooms are specious and look new. We are not familiar with walking around the hotel with bare feet. The shoes must be took off. It's Ryokan style!... More
