We went to Takayama for the Takayama Matsuri (Takayama Festival). We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. I found this hotel online, I booked the hotel 6 months ago because I was afraid I couldn't book a good one when the date is closer to the festival. I booked the room with 1 night dinner at their hotel (Hida... More

We spent one night at the Takayama Green Hotel as part of a Japanican independent tour. Our basic room was clean with beds for three. The hotel hot spring bath were very good with large indoor and outdoor baths for men and women. And added bonus was the shopping annex connected to the hotel with demonstrations in baking rice crackers... More

Spent one night at Takayama Green. Was booked under a group tour and Takayama Green was one of the 4 hotels I got to stay for my 6 days and 5 nights tour trip in japan. It was the only hotel in Japan where I actually had a good quality night sleep and this was even without heading to the... More

During April I was on a small group tour (seven members plus guide) and we stayed two nights in Takayama. We had opted for good quality accommodation and due to the pressure of bookings ended up in the Takayama Green Hotel. The quality of the place was very good to excellent and i found the public bath to be well... More

Nice place to spend a few days in the Gifu Hido Mountain Region. Rooms are very basic, but nice and clean. In addition, hotel guests are allowed to use steam room and sonar - Japanese style. It is great after long walk!! Try it.

Takayama Green was a 'second' choice as our original choice was the ryokan (Honjin Hiranoya Bekkan) which we had stayed on a previous visit. Anyway, although located some distance from the main tourist area (the restaurants, the shops and both the morning markets), Takayma Green impressed in the following areas: Room: probably the largest room we stayed in during our... We had a "traditional" type room, and it was terrific. The dinner was wonderful, and the gift shop was fabulous. We stopped at the foot pool to warm our feet too. You will love this place, and the close shopping was terrific also.

It is about a 20-min. walk from the JR Train Station. If you don't want to walk, there is a shuttle near the station. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Japanese-Western style room. One room had Western-style beds and the other room had Japanese-style (tatami) with futons. My kids loved the spacious and clean room! They also... More

We stayed at the Takayama Green Resort for 2 nights in a Western style twin room and found the room to be clean and comfortable. The room was a great size - the most spacious we've had in Japan so far (which isn't saying much as rooms here are tiny). The only down side to the room was that, despite... More
