During my recent trip to Japan I headed to Nagoya on a whim and thus relied on a Japanese travel agency for booking accommodation there. As it turned out, the respective clerk provided me with a fine place - according to his words ("They got spacious rooms") I found just what he promised. Don't get me wrong... this is still... More

This place is cheap. If it wasn't, I'd have expected more. But as budget hotels go it was fine. A little worn looking perhaps, but everything was clean and worked. Rooms were small but welll within expectation for the price range. Check-in and check-out were smooth and friendly. Don't expect anything too new or luxurious and you'll probably be satisfied.... Our family of four adults stayed for five nights and booked three rooms at this hotel. Daiichi Fuji falls under the category of a business hotel - it is conveniently located near a transportation hub, a few staff members can communicate in English, there are provisions for internet access (wired and wireless), and decent sized rooms equipped to satisfy business... spend 2 nights here. the staff are friendly & helpful. room size is standard , just like other Japanese business hotel. poor wifi connection in the room. The hotel location is great. 5 mins to Nagoya Station & JR Bus Station ( beside Mc'donald) can easily purchase ticket at the bus station to takayama / Tokyo / other places. we... More

Advantage: 1. Staff was fairly good at English and willing to assist with my request. 2. Housekeeping cleaned my room very thoroughly. 3. Perfect location, very close to Nagoya station. 4. The bed and lazyboy was comfy and the toilet was clean. Disadvantage: 1. Although there is wifi in the hotel but couldn't launch any website. 2. The headboard beside... More

Stayed 3 nights at this Hotel. Very handy to JR Nagoya Station (3-5min walk) to access the many trains lines eg; Shinkasen, JR Lines, Subway Lines. Also a big Takashimaya Department Store inside the station for shopping and several food outlet options available. The room was clean, tidy (if a little noisy on the street side at night). I noticed... More

Nothing special to say about this average business hotel. Good points - clean enough, close to the station, efficient check in/out. Staff speak reasonably good English. No wifi in the room, though can access in the lobby. First time since 1997 using a pay phone. Clearly needs a refurb, strange setup in bathrooms.... Overall no complaints, but manage your expectations.

The room is pretty big and it is clean. It is very close to JR Nagoya, just 5mins walk. Although it is close to JR station, but it is quite area. It was cost USD$55 to stay, so it is pretty good deal for this decent location.

We transitted in Nagoya for a night before going to Hida Takayama. This hotel is location about 5-8 minutes away from the Nagoya Station so it was ideal. We chose it because of the price (since it's only going to be an overnight, sleep - wake up - leave type of hotel), we paid AU$55 for the night. Not a... More

Stayed there for 4 nights, the location is good, close to the station!! Still feel safe at late night alone!! Clean room and the size is not really small!! But they don't have wifi service even in the lobby!! That's really not convenience for traveller!!
