My Wife and I are visiting our Son and his Wife in Japan (he has lived in Japan for 7 years) along with them we are making a journey over 7 days toward the west of the country from Tokyo. Our first stop was Nagoya and the Meitetsu Grand was our first stop after 4 days in Tokyo. This is... More

Stopped by here one night during trip to Kyoto . Staff were nice and helpful. Lobby is on 11 floor because there have shopping center in the same building which is very convenience in shopping and find good food. Family mart is just few walk from hotel. Breakfast was very nice and good view.

You rarely see me rate a hotel or anything excellent because nothing is perfect; however, Meitetsu Grand Hotel should be the first hotel I ever rate 'excellent' because they really did an excellent job. First the location was excellent, it's like 5 mins to the JR Nagoya station, the underground shopping mall is at the B1 level (cafe, restaurants, supermarket... More

Excellent hotel rooms and other facilities situated in a supper location with nice view of the city. Specially in the night. Clean room and modern amenities. Good location for evening shopping. Friendly staff and breakfast was very nice.

I'd been there in early March 2015, this hotel is very near the Nagoya station, you can walk to the hotel in 3 minutes. There are some shopping malls nerarby, you can connect and transfer to every where in Nagoya by subway. My family plan to visit Nagoya again in April 2015, of course we will stay in Meitetsu Grand... Situated above train station and the underground, a perfect location for city shopping and sightseeing. You have 3 massive department blocks inter-connected with each other in the basement. You can stop till you drop with stores for all walks of life. Hotel is very clean and daily breakfast is excellent with both Japanese and continental styles to choose from. Their... More

We stayed just 1 night in 2 twin rooms (1321 and 1322). The hotel does not have connecting rooms. Everything is a bit dated and you can spot accumulated dust at certain spots. Not well insulated and sound travels very well. I could even hear snoring and walking sounds, besides the usual sounds from television, from the room next door.... More

We booked 2 twin rooms for 1 night before our return flight. They don't seem to have connecting rooms although we requested. Spacious and clean rooms but the walls are thin...we could hear next door quite clearly e.g. sound of mobile phone receiving text messages, tv turned on and when they use toilet. Beds are big but they only provide... More

I stayed at this hotel after visiting Takayama and Shin Hotaka. The hotel is just in the same building with Meitetsu Department Store. The hotel elevator can take you to different floors of the department store. It is next to the Nagoya train station. Just walk out of Takashimaya Department Store and walk to the right. It takes less than... More

We stayed 1 night here before flying back to HK. We had a twin room, beds were big and room was quite big comparing to those in Tokyo. Even the bathroom/toilet was the biggest I had came across with the Nagoya trip. We were on the 14/F, overlooking the opposite building, so no view at all. Came with wifi which... More
