I visited this hotel on previous trips to Japan (around 15-20 years ago) and it remains an excellent hotel, conveniently located near Nagoya Station. The staff was professional and friendly, and I enjoyed ample opportunity for shopping within a very short walk from the hotel. I found the breakfast buffet to be ideal, offering selections for Japanese breakfast as well... More

I am a frequent traveler to Japan and have stayed at many business hotels across the country. The Meitetsu New Grand Hotel, not to be confused with the Meitetsu Grand Hotel which is located just on the other side of the main Nagoya train station, is on par with many hotels in this class. Its main attraction is its location,... More

Stayed here for a night. Nice, clean and decent sized room. The hotel is pretty much across from Nagoya station. There are quite a few eating options outside with a convenient store right outside. The hotel has wifi which is a plus.

We stayed at this hotel for one night when a flight delay caused us to arrive to Nagoya late and miss the last Shinkansen train to Kyoto. We picked this hotel based on its location right next to the station. Overall the rooms were fairly standard but we found the price much higher than similar hotels in other cities (this... More

As my flight arriving at night time, I picked this hotel as first stop before hopping to other location on second day. This hotel is very close to Shinkansen (Bullet train) station, you can see the station when you just get out from hotel, and this hotel is on top of a famous local electronic store - Bic Camera, in... Location of this hotel is good. For electronic shopping you can find shops near by this hotel. Night life I found bit quiet. Breakfast is average. Down stairs shopping malls are good and there was a Central Clock which can be a meeting place with group members if you are travelling with too many members like me.(: (24 we were).... More

As I could not book Meitetsu Grand Hotel, I booked a twin room at this sister hotel. I arrived in Nagoya in the evening and took the local train into the city. I knew it should be very close to the train station, but I could not find a sign showing the way to this hotel. Luckily a young boy... More

Environment & accessibility: Centrally located in Nagoya down town centre next to JR Nagoya station. Not difficult to reach from JR station even if you carry big suitcases. Next to many large and modern shopping centres and underground shopping streets. Lots of eating places. Room: Not big but reasonable in CBD location. All appliances work well. Stable hot tap water.... More

I have stayed at this hotel more or less annually for the past 5-6 years. It's a typical Japanese business hotel with small but adequate clean and functional rooms. There is complimentary breakfast each morning. The variety covers most tastes from Japanese and Korean to Western. The lobby area was upgraded a couple years ago. Service is friendly and helpful.... I visited this most magnificent hotel for my international conf trip from Nov.12-16, 20 13. I enjoyed this hotel very much. Service is excellent, food is excellent, very tasty and too qualitative. This hotel is about 2 to 3 minute walk from railway station and about 30 min by super fast train
