The Sunroute Plaza Hotel is almost directly opposite the Nagoya Railway terminal, the rooms were clean and comfortable, WIFI was excellent, there are convenience stores nearby, and entertainment and great food venus a short walk from the hotel. If you enjoy walking the location is great for exploring the city, if not take a taxi. I would recommend the Sunroute... More

small rooms (smaller than japanese standards) but clean indeed. good location in front of main station but anyhow some walking minutes. what gave us a excellent impression was that after a small complain on the absence of english newspapers in the hotel, the following market the offered us The Japan Times!!! very good customer orientation and attention to details. appreciated.... Good stay and centrally located to shopping and train station. We ferried to and from Gifu quite easily and the there are food places galore if you don't mind Japanese food. Nagoya station is a major stop for the Shinkansen and other rail lines so very handy ...

I got what I paid for, a tiny twin bedroom. The location is good, it is 10 minutes walk from Nagoya station, all the way along the tunnel and exit at L2, and just cross the road. There is a convenient store right next to hotel. So if you want something cheap and convenient for a short stay, this hotel... More

Reaching the hotel at around 10pm on 1st March. We printed out the hotel booking voucher and check in as usual. We did mixed up a few pages. Suddenly the staff said we wrongly booked the hotel on 2nd and refused our check in. We finally managed to find the right second page. Then i started to argue with the... More

I stayed here for a conference in Nagoya. I spent most of my days in the conference then went out to eat or drink in the city. Being located right in the middle of the city, 5-10 min walk from the JR Nagoya station, its very convenient. So basically I just needed somewhere to sleep and keep my luggage. The... More

Overnight stay in Nagoya. 5-7 min walk from JR Nagoya Station. Easy to find. Lobby is getting a bit tired. Small cafe in lobby but was closed for a private function. As always seem to be the case in Japan, service was excellent. Room was a smallish double. Modern Decor, but a rock hard bed. Very busy road in front... More

We picked a non-smoking room and it did not stink like others mentioned. Clean room, bigger than anticipated, new slippers replaced everyday and ok comfy beds. However the hairdryer was very weak and only 1 pillow provided per bed. The best thing was the hotel was 5 minutes walk from the station and had at least 3 convenience stores along... More

So it's smoky and very compact, can just get 2 suitcases in the room. Beds are very firm, bedding is clean and pillows nice. It's a hotel for businesmen so don't be surprised to see only men staff and mostly male clientele. Not the greatest place I stayed in but it is the worst I've stayed in whilst in Japan,... More

Hotel is 5 min walk from the main railway station. Rooms are big for Japanese standards, however when we arrived to our non-smoking room it was obvious that it had been used as a smoking room. Reminded me of my grandmother's old flat. Hotel is a bit messy and in need of an update. I complained, they told me it... More
