We stayed one night as a group. Our room was a corner room, large and comfortable, but the bathroom was small and cramped. Others complained about being put in rooms reeking of smoke. One couple could not even fit into their room. The hallway carpets were stained and the western breakfast area was very small.

Good points: 1) I like the space of the room. The fact that this hotel is rather old (but well-kept) means the rooms are more spacious than newer hotels. 2) The location is convenient. Still in the biting cold winds of Nagoya, the subway walkways helps a lot. It's quite near the Nagoya train station, with JR Takashimaya Dept. Store.... More

Near station. So in the station on 13 floor there is Maharaja indian rest. Very near to sake area. Breakfast is good but they don't have enough toaster. Big line and than U give up. They give umbrella. Nothing comes on TV free.

The Shinkansen from Tokyo station to Nagoya station took 1.5 hrs. Just before arrival at station, ensure you get up, get your luggage and wait at door. Everything in Japan works like clockwork. Announcements made in train in Japanese and English. Food and drinks available on board from trolley. Toilet also available on train. As you exit from JR Tower... More

A bit dated when I was there last in 2012 - but the staff are helpful and friendly. I have stayed there 3 or 4 time when I have visited Nagoya University. (Their idea of "American Breakfast" is interesting..... but that might be a Japanese thing.) One thing to note - if you have not spent time in Japan and... More

I used to stay here when I was in Japan, Nagoya 1st time almost 10 years ago. The improvement are: English speaking staffs, last time was almost none. Restaurant for breakfast, much more better than Japanese only style last time including decoration. Overall decorations, carpet, elevators... Still: Japanese business hotel style of small room for my single stay. Noisy next... More

This clean and comfortable hotel is conveniently situated, just a short walk from Nagoya Station. Plenty of good restaurants nearby, easy to walk or train to all of the notable sights and activities in Nagoya. Staff obliging and the rooms are well furbished.

Nice hotel, small but cosy rooms, excellent location (1-2 min walk to Nagoya Station), good breakfast. Wi-fi reception could be better (and it's pretty complicated to log in for the first time), but it's free.

About 10 minutes on foot from Nagoya Railway Station. Rooms are pretty small but clean and compiled with basic accessories such as toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shampoo etc. Free iInternet connection with LAN is available in the room but the room was not wi-fi supported. Free wi-fi is available in the Lobby only. Staffs are cooperative. Electric system is flat two-pin... More

Within 5 minutes walk o fate railway station, the Castle Plaza is conveniently located. Standard rooms are quite small, though functional and reasonably comfortable, apart from the rice-filled pillows. Free WiFi in all rooms. International-style breakfast average - Japanese style better. Nice coffee shop in reception area but experience is spoiled by lack of "No Smoking" policy, a shock when... More
