Arrived at the hotel, only to find out the rooms that were booked were too small to fit a family of 6. Luckily, the staff was accommodating enough to get us two rooms that fits us all with no hassles! The new rooms were spacious, and had decent views. Subway, Shirakawa park and Sakae all within walking distance. Wifi is... More

Had a good few nights stay @ the Nagoya Kanko. This is clearly a business hotel - plenty of corporate types walking about, checking in etc. And the hotel is near the university MBA conference centre. Having said that, the hotel is well-kept, feels up-market and service was universally good. Decor was a little serious/dull/stoic (*delete where applicable) and chock... More

Nice, clean, quaint, friendly with a big room. Although the decor particularly of the rooms, could have been a little more hip or modern, but then again hotels do upgrade every now and then so it is not really an issue as long as the rooms are comfortable and clean which it is. And to the hotel's benefit as well,... More

Hard pillows, mediocre and overpriced breakfast, cigarette smoke coming through the aircon, but a truly outstanding tempura restaurant on the 2nd floor. I can't recall the name (it's up a spiral staircase, beside the breakfast room). Spectacularly good tempura - are their with Japanese colleagues, who also thought food exceptionally good.

Stayed three nights in Nagoya. Hotel was about 15 minute walk from JR Nagoya Station. Fairly easy to find. Room was a decent size. Bed seemed a bit hard for our liking and air con seemed a bit too hot for us. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had buffet dinner one night which was very nice. Close to Fushimi Subway... More

Just a few steps away from all of the downtown action (10 minutes walk to Sakae metro station, main shopping, clubs etc) The Kanko is, in my view, perfectly placed for those who do not like to be too much in the action but close enough to take full advantage of it within walking distance. The hotel itself is very... More

A very good hotel for a short stay. I stayed there for 5 days in a comfort room. Easy to get to from the airport. The airport limousine from Nagoya Airport stops right in front of the hotel. Train station only a 10 minute walk away. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was included with the room. Spread was... More

Location is brilliant here, only about a 10minute walk to the central train station. Staff are welcoming and friendly. And whilst small, the rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Food in the hotel was on the expensive side, but there are many many restaurants/cafes within 100metres of the hotel.

Hotel located near the city center. Walk to the castle is about 15 minutes. The rooms are small, but on par with Japanese standards. The restaurant in the hotel serves a traditional Japanese multi-course dinner that was enjoyable even for our Japanese hosts. Very friendly staff. Also, for Americans trying to get cash, the 7-11 just outside to the left... More

I stayed at this hotel one Saturday in June with really good prices. Room seems like just been renovated and room size is more spacious than Japanese standard. Just a few mins walk from Subway Station of Fushimi and they have many restaurants nearby.
