I stayed here for two night in 2013*. Until today I remember the hostel and the staff really well. Positive: - There is a hot bath you can take. It's really lovely made and gives you what you need after a tiring touristic day. - Rooms are classical japanese with Futons. If you are already in Japan - you should... More

I stayed for a working week and liked this place very much. The location was quiet and convenient. Good idea to email in advance to receive a helpful map and photos to help find the place. The room was fairly plain, traditional tatami, and clean, the garden small, pretty and peaceful. Breakfast (japanese style) was excellent - highly recommended. The... More

The facility of this place is very traditional with Japanese culture, including the food. It is a very good experience for us. We love the place and took a lot of picture. We enjoy the stay very much.

It was one of the best ryokan I've ever stayed. Room was clean and neat. Hot spring was enough to relieve stress. And also price was reasonable. Moreover, owner was very kind. I want to stay there once again if I go Nagoya.

Kyoya Ryokan is one of the best hotels we've encountered in Japan. We stayed in the dorm room with 6 futon beds, which does not have any hostel vibe at all, it is very traditional and quiet. Travelling as a couple, our two futons were curtained off, giving us a little privacy. The setting is absolutely stunning, the rooms are... More

This ryokan is a rare kind of place for modern Nagoya. Small and quiet garden with hot baths in the city of glass and stone, a piece of traditional lifestyle that you're eager to find in Japan. Very friendly staff, bikes for visitors, fast internet, clean rooms, castle in 10 minutes walk. All you need for a couple of days... More

In times of difficulties, 佐藤 san gave me the warmest help! Thanks for everything! It's the most brilliant ryokan I have ever lived in! Though it was a bit difficult to find, but the instructions were pretty clear for us to find.

Quiet, full of green, with a small but elegant courtyard. You will have a good sleep after the traditional Japanese bath. The boss is very kind and hospitable. The breakfast is not cheap, but impressive. All my family love it!

We stayed there for one night in April 2015 and wish we could stay longer. We had a room on the first floor with a perfect view of the garden. We booked a Japanese style Quadruple Room for 2 adults and 1 kid and the room was unexpected large and super clean. The staff are all very friendly too. Highly... More
