Fantastic hospitality, followed up with a beautiful garden to relax in. Not forgetting an awesome onsen to soak in after a day of wandering around Nagoya. Close to attractions and transport options. Knowledgable staff ensure you get to see the sights and offer information on great restaurants. The room was immaculate, we stayed in a private room, it was worth... More

Lovely traditional Japanese style hotel/hostel. Very comfortable beds. Good location, within 20 minutes walking distance to Nagoya station and other subways. Helpful staff. Free wi-fi. Would stay again.

Did a stopover in Nagoya for just one night in order to visit the Toyota factory outside the city the next day. Picked this place based on price and location within walking distance to the train station. I found this place quite nice, good rooms and free access to Japanese hot bath all evening. The facilities in the guesthouse are... More

Kyoya was the best place we stayed in Japan. Although it was difficult to find at first, it was so nice. Large rooms, lovely garden, great breakfast, free bikes to use and lovely baths. It spoiled us for the rest of our trip through Japan. I highly recommend.

Pros: bicycles free for hire - in excellent condition though there are only 3 available - I went for a morning cycle around the surroundings of Nagoya castle and it was one of the best mornings I had in Japan, free tea vending machine - love, traditional bath was an absolute delight, staff were very kind and always smiling, beds... Kyoya ryokan is one of the best hotel experience in Nagoya for me. The hotel has reasonable price dorm room and luxurious private rooms. The are all clean and well maintained. Room view and hotel facilities are great. I gotta love the spa and the garden. I may not look big from the outside but inside it's quite adequate! The... More

The Ryokan is amazing, and perfect, extremely clean, nice and beautiful with amazing garden and Japanese bath. Rooms are so nice and comfortable, I got to stay in a single room and I loved it so I cant comment about the mixed rooms. Everything was perfect and amazing, you have tea and water machines at your disposal in the lobby,... More

I just left here today, first of all it was a beautiful place! the layout of the shared room was very sociable and I made a good group of friends staying here, however the major con for me was that every morning at 8am breakfast is served and if you haven't ordered breakfast you are woken up by everyone talking... Went to Nagoya mid of April for 5 nights stay. True to its review and the as per the picture... the stay is absolutely wonderful. Even we (4 of us - female) stay in a mixed dormitory with another 2 guests (male), there is no problem for us. There is a small partition in between 4 beds and 2 beds.... More
