Western style hotel with a typical Japanese match box bathroom. Decent hotel within a short walk of the nightlife. Didn't try breakfast but (an expensive) Starbucks is just over the road. Would stop again.

For one or two nights this is a good hotel. The rooms are small even by Japanese standards. The hotel feels new and fresh with a very attractive cafe. A welcome drink voucher was a good touch. Location is good, a very short taxi ride from JR station and in a nice part of Nagoya. A good choice to avoid... More

We stayed for two nights. The rooms are small but clean and functional. Good central location. Really good breakfast with a choice of western or Japanese food. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

We arrived in the evening and were greeted by a friendly girl who spoke English well (she gave me clear instructions on trains to the airport). We were given free wifi and a free drink at the gorgeous cafe downstairs. The room was spacious and well appointed, with just a hint of cigarette smoke. All TV channels were in Japanese,... More

I pretty much always stay at the Hilton when I am in Nagoya but on this occasion the Hilton was full. So I booked into the Richmond, which is only 70 yards down the road. I wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were a reasonable size for a business hotel & reception service was friendly and... More

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the Richmond, staffs are very welcoming and friendly. Our room with is located at 13th floor is quiet and well sized. The wifi connection in the hotel is fast and stable. Hotel well located 5 minutes from Fushimi station and 15 minutes walk to Sakae area. Plenty of cafe, ramen bar and restaurant... More

My family stayed in this hotel for 4 nights for an autumn term-break vacation. It is located within 15-minute walk from the Nagoya Station (Meitetsu airport line). Along the road from the rail station to the hotel, there are a lot of restaurants with many different choices. The check-in was smooth and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The... More

The Richmond is surprising - Great value, excellent location, wonderful breakfast. While the single rooms are small, the twin rooms are surprisingly large - do try to reserve the twin bed rooms. There is a choice of either western and Japanese for the free breakfast - we chose the Japanese both mornings and were not disappointed. The quality and quantity... More

The hotel is conveniently located about a 10 minute walk (1.5km) East of JR Nagoya Station and a 15 minute walk from Sakae. I ended up walking from Nagoya Station and it was quite a pleasant walk. There are some fantastic food locations around the hotel, including a place right across the road from the Hotel named Sekai no Yamachan... More

This was the perfect hotel for our Formula One (F1) weekend. It is within walking distance of Nagoya Train Station, even though we would recommend you to take a taxi the first time you arrive, because there are literally more than 20 exits from the vast underground mall (hint, walk towards Sun Road, take the Sashashima exit and turn left...
