While I haven't stayed overnight in this hotel, I have seen one of the better rooms and all the common space. Very beautiful facility in the most scenic section of Zimbabwe. Not the average Zimbabwe by any means, but if you want to get away from it all amidst part of a more Africa centric trip, this is a good... More

I spent one night in the Presidential Suite and enjoyed it so much I tried to book another night, but the room was already taken! I have been to Leopard Rock 3 times over the past 2 years but perhaps visiting with my new hubby made it even more special. This was also the first time I went after the... More

We are so happy you decided to come back and spend more time with us. We have made a concerted effort to improve the food - in particular we have moved away from buffets and serving a la carte or table haute unless we are serving a roast or a special brunch. The nature walk is one of our favorite... More

I stayed at the Hotel with family and friends over New Years Eve. The New Years Eve event in the Casino room was clearly something that was newly organized as the staff were nervous and somewhat confused. The food was nothing special. The music was loud and we left by 10:00pm. Our rooms were located right above the casino and... More

I am terribly sorry that your stay at the Leopard Rock did not meet your expectations. Your experience must have been quite traumatic to make Leopard Rock the subject of your first ever review on TripAdvisor. I took control of the hotel in November, so I felt I needed to personally respond in lieu of the management since your experience... More

Hotel and grounds are well kept. Lovely views and setting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was good, and chef made himself available for a special request. Casino was dissapointing, lacked atmosphere .

We spent a wonderful 3 nights at Leopard Rock on the "Detox special" that ran early Jan 2015. The staff really make this hotel stand out, everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. I was astounded to be greeted by name even at remote corners of the grounds. We had the privilege of staying in the presidential suite which... More

Had great fun from the mountain climb. And game activities. It was relaxing and a welcoming experience. The food was great a good mixture of diet and healthy foods. The chefs knew what they where dishing and the waiters had superb knowledge of the dishes and chefs special.

We visited this hotel for its colonial history, the hotel still offers old world service and hospitality. The dinner menu is extensive and varied, breakfasts we thought to be the best we had on our trip through Zimbabwe. The hotel staff were excellent, and informative. The walks offered from the hotel with local guide are informative and interesting. Sundowners at... More

From the delightful welcome by the staff of this property, to the romance of the room from a previous era, this hotel just continued to delight throughout our stay. It was clean and although maybe slightly dated, it had an aura which took you back to what it must have felt like in the colonial days. The staff though must... More

I was lucky enough to end up inthe presidential suite with my Darling who travelled for business. Oh boy, I felt like a queen. Lounge, huge bedroom, two bathrooms, a huge private verandah and a bottle of finest champagne awaited us upon arrival. The rooms were clean and classy - definintely sofor Zimbabwean standards. The staff was very polite, helpful... More

This Hotel takes some finding, tucked away as it is at the far end of the Bvumba road high above and beyond Mutare. Taking a sharp left turn out of Mutare town centre, the road soon climbs into the beautiful Bvumba area, a visit in its own right. Be prepared to negotiate the potholes around here which are as dangerous... More
