After a week on the road ending up at Musangano late in the afternoon we were made to feel as if we arrived home. We ended up at our lodge with the perfect African sunset all to ourselves. With 3 young children, having your own lodge close, but with enough distance from the next lodge was great. The staff cared... More

I highly recommend this gem of a lodge! We had a fabulous visit. Musangano offers a unique combination of luxury and comfort in a picturesque setting outside of Mutare! The thoughtfully laid our property features private, rustic chic cottages and lodges with exquisite views, as well as a restaurant, conference facilities and a very well maintained campground. The lodge boasts... More

After driving for over 1300km from South Africa to Zimbabwe, my wife, Lovejoy, made sure I had the best place to relax and refresh. Musangano Lodge was the perfect place to be. I really enjoyed the meandering dust road, ascending the nature covered hills on which the luxury, cool, thatched chalets are admirably built. The rooms are welcoming, clean and... More

We two used Musangano as a base for our annual volunteer trip to the Old Mutare area. The staff were uniformly very, very helpful. [Example : Fixed two flat tires and got us a new one.] WE and the feeling that they enjoyed being helpful, instead of merely doing an efficient job. As others have commented, extremely clean and superbly... More

We live nearby and had lunch with friends who were staying there. Luxury safari ambience without the hours on a bumpy road, since Musangano is only 1.5 km off the main tarred road from Harare to Mutare.(The 1.5 km gravel road is bumpy enough to give a hint of safari, but ordinary cars can drive slowly and make it OK.)... We had a lovely 2 day stay at this hidden jewel just east of Odzi, Zimbabwe near Mutare. The rooms are beautiful with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, the food is very good and very reasonably priced and of all the places we have stayed in Southern Africa, we have never had such attentive staff. Truly a customer oriented... More

I stayed a Musangano recently with a colleague whilst attending meetings in Mutare. The local is beautiful, peaceful and very relaxing. Bright and the other members of staff are friendly, helpful and incredibly welcoming. The 'safari style' chalet rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. All food, breakfast or dinner, is freshly prepared and very delicious. If you are in... More

We held our staff meeting at Musangano. We were a team of 27 people, mostly Zimbabwean, and it was universally agreed by all the team that it was the best venue we had been to. The setting is lovely, the meeting room open, airy and spaceous. The staff are efficient and helpful - everything happened on time and just to... More

After a 3 hour drive from Harare we arrived to a friendly welcome, beautiful, huge rooms and a tasty dinner with imaginative dishes. Cooked breakfast was also good. Musangano Lodge was a relaxing place to base ourselves for visiting the Mutare area. The staff were exemplary and standards are high.
