I slept with my family at Musangano lodge on the way to Mozambique. It is located just before Mutare and the border post of Machipanda. The lodge is situated 1.5 kms from the main road on a dirt road. The setting is extremely peaceful and green. We had a big chalet with a nice sitting area on a hill, a... More

We stayed here for four nights for a big international workshop recently and I was very impressed. It is quiet and tucked away in the hills but not too far out of Mutare. The chalets and lodges are comfortable and well organised with nice furniture and local decorations and they are arranged so that they don't look over each other... More

I have stayed at Musangano Lodge a number of times over the last few years. Principally on business trips but always great to take a breath of fresh air and enjoy the outdoors while staying within close range to Mutare. Always friendly; accommodating; rooms or chalets very spacious and the food good. The electricity supply can be a challenge as... More

Oooh, great place! It is a little far from town and the trip is worth. The place is surrounded by the nature, giving a relax environment. The lodge where we stayed was clean and organized, and very well decorated with local artifacts. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food is the restaurant could improve. The swimming pool is... We stayed as a family in Dec/Jan 2015. We had the 3 bedroom chalet hidden away on a hill. the privacy was simply amazing. the kitchen was well equipped, the house really clean and the views uninterrupted. We absolutely loved it!

I found Musangano lodge when looking at our visit to Eastern Highlands and book it after reading all the nice reviews. After, when I realized it was not IN the Eastern Higlands but 60 km from Vumba and nearly 100 from Nyanga I was a bit regretting. All my thoughts diseappeared when I saw the cottage: spacious, clean, cozy and... More

We stayed for a couple of nights in the large self-catering cottage at Musangano Lodge. We greatly appreciated the self-catering facilities and we found Musangano to be an excellent starting point for our trips into the eastern Highlands. We visited an orphanage in the Marange area. A pleasant 80 km trip, we visited the Vumba Mountains and made a daytrip... More

Very beautiful country type holiday resort. We enjoyed the stay, very restful, scenic views and quite area. Vey ideal for kids as it has all playing facilities for the kids. It is also strategically placed for exercises, walks and for general association with nature. The people are good and very hospitable. The lodges are quite convenient for family chatting and resting.
