We stayed here as part of a two month journey around Africa. Ivory Lodge was beautiful, it stood out from many places because of the natural beauty of the place. I could believe that you could go sit so close to wild elephants it was amazing. The experience is fantastic and very one who is heading that way should try... More

My girlfriend and I had a great time here, it was my second time and her first and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is amazing and they really cater to your needs with all the activities. It makes for an interesting nights sleep with lions making noise right outside!

We went as a family in early January '15, the bush is very lush. Received a great welcome, did an afternoon a game drive with Peter, a very knowledgable guide and brilliant with our 2 kids. The rooms are clean and well appointed with a waterhole in front of the lodge. Dinner was excellent.

We were in Zimbabwe in 2013 and camped at Tuskers. When we went back to Zimbabwe in November 2014 for another trip, Tuskers was a place we had to return to. The campsite is lovely and the facilities very good. There is a lookout over the waterhole. The staff are excellent, the donkey boiler was lit for us and we... More

Thank you for returning to Ivory Lodge and staying at Tuskers - repeat business is certainly important to us and we take on board your comments regarding sharing the camp site. Whilst we are still small and relatively unknown as a camping facility, we have been selected by a few overland trucks as their favorite spot. Sometimes we don't know... More

It was my first time staying at Ivory Lodge, I had heard great things about the lodge from my other experiences in Hwange. We were not let down. The lodge is absolutely stunning. We were greeted as soon as we arrived with a glass of fresh orange juice and a warm towl, a wonderful touch indeed. The lodges we incredible... More

What a lovely surprise to find Ivory Lodge so welcoming and warm, with such an amazing outlook over the lawns and waterhole! We were looked after really well by Joel and Peter and the rest of the team, and immediately felt like part of the family. Sleeping in a luxury tree house while overlooking the waterhole was a fantastically unique... More

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ivory Lodge and loved every minute of it. Amazing staff & service from the welcome to the farewell. Went down to the chairs around the fire for a sundowner only to be rushed to the nearby Hide as Joel had seen the Buffaloes coming! We counted 83 who came to drink &... More

Your review is very much appreciated, thank you and we're chuffed that the animals played their role for you. Usually when those herds of buffalo come into camp you can hear them from almost 1km away and see the dust cloud approaching as they start running towards the waterhole. Often if they come in the evening the tend to spend... More

Our stay at Ivory Lodge was magical. While getting settled, a single elephant came to the near by watering hole to "welcome" us. Later in the day a group of 35 elephants came to drink, cool off and play in the water!! The staff was most helpful and even did our laundry!! The individual cabins were very nice with fantastic... Thank you for writing to us; I don't think one can every get enough of watching the ellies bathing and interacting no matter how many times you see it. We're so fortunate to be able to see this throughout the year and still don't get tired of their presence. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, keep in... More

In over 3 weeks travelling through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe this was my favourite lodge. A lovely wooden tree house style room overlooking a waterhole that filled with elephant and buffalo at night, a hide allowing seriously close up views of the elephants, resident crocs and bush babies. Well presented, delicious food, an excellent, friendly, attentive host. The... More

Ivory Lodge is a beautiful place where we received a superb welcome from the staff and had the opportunity to sleep in a raised cabin overlooking the waterhole. Elephants were frequent visitors, with over 25 coming as close as 15 feet away from the viewing hide. They also wandered around just outside the lodge during the night to add a little... More
