Our group of 13 plus our two guides were made very welcome on arrival at Ivory Lodge. Another awesome welcome came from around 80 elephant gathered at the waterhole. Some of our group went on a sunset safari while the rest of us sat in the hide near the waterhole feeling "up close and personal" with the elephants who were... More

So often when holidaying, reality simply doesn’t meet expectations, whether it be the accommodation and service standards or the experiences one has. The opposite definitely applies to Ivory Lodge. After a pleasantly scenic drive up from Bulawayo we were greeted with a very warm welcome from Joel the manager and his staff and provided with a refreshing drink. As we... More

I stayed at Ivory lodge from July 1 to July 4, 2014 with my brother and friends. From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel most welcome. So many fabulous things about the lodge from the manager Joel who recovered our missing suitcases from Victoria Falls Airport, to the staff who couldn't do enough. I ordered gluten free... More

We spent two nights in the Hwange National Park Ivory Lodge during our safari. It is perfectly suited as a rustic lodge positioned for groups on safari and travelling to see African animals in a bush setting. Individual wooden lodges were raised above the ground and provided great views of the animals visiting the lake area. Staff were always helpful... More

I am so glad you had a chance to experience our hide whereby you got a chance to see so many elephants at the watering hole up close and personal in their natural surroundings. I will... More

My wife and I recently stayed for 3 nights at Ivory Lodge having been due to stay at the sister Khulu Ivory before it was damaged by a fire, and we were not disappointed. In fact we couldn't have asked for any more - if you want to see elephants up very close then the water hole hide at Ivory... More

I recently took my husband and six month old baby on their first visit to Zimbabwe (my homeland) and we stayed at Ivory Lodge for a few nights. The location is great - deep in the bush and surrounded by its own concession but still near to Hwange National Park. The staff were all fantastic - always helpful and friendly... More

If you do not mind very rustic, rural and off the beaten track - and want to feel close to wild Africa then this is probably not a bad place to be. The tree rooms are novel - but not 3,4 or 5 star - however they are clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The staff cannot be... More

We took over the whole lodge for our recent group from the USA and what a time we had. The service, food and attention to detail was superb and the staff are amazing. The major highlight was the hide in front of the lodge that attracts an amazing variety of wildlife and having sundowners in the hide with elephants only... More

Dear Kuyimba Thank you so much for your wonderful review here on Trip Advisor! We will certainly pass your comments onto the staff - they just loved having you in camp. Ivory is a very special place and unique in the fact it is accessible but still right in the bush. All of us at The Amalinda Collection look forward... More

The tree house rooms provide a beautiful view of the property and the pond where animals gather. The Hide provides a fantastic way to view the animals and take photos of elephants, impala, baboons and birds without frightening the wildlife. Staff were friendly and accommodating in every way. Guides really knew Hwange Park and the surrounding area which resulted in... More

Dear Andrea Thank you so much for this fantastic review! We always love to hear about our guests amazing experiences and all the wildlife that can be seen in and around camp. We stayed here two nights, and wished we were here longer. It was our favorite place on our two week trip through southern Africa. Hi Lisa Thank you for this amazing review! Always wonderful and meaningful to us when someone takes the time to get onto Tripadvisor and write some fantastic words on our camp Ivory Lodge.
