My sister and I stayed two nights and enjoyed everything! The raised tent with viewing deck was wonderful!! Food was good. Game drives were great but would have liked to have gone further into the park to see more. Recommend requesting an all day drive instead of a morning and evening drive. A great place to get away from it... More

After spending 4 nights camping in Hwange National Park, we headed to Miombi Safari Lodge. I think it is perfect. I have stayed at higher end camps in South Africa and paid 3 to 4 times as much, and although nice, maybe too nice. I kept thinking I could beam them to Florida and no one would be the wiser.... I stayed on the all inclusive package which is quite reasonable and includes all meals, beer, wine, soft drinks and morning and afternoon game drives. Lots of animal sightings including some lions and painter dogs. The chef David makes a special effort with the vegetarian food and I enjoyed his daily presentation of dinner. I spent the first two nights... More

Coming from Bulawayo i arrived late in the evening. After a great dinner and a warm welcome by the friendly staff they showed me my tree house. It looks beautiful with a balcony and a great view on a small pond just in front of my house. The animals are very close for the only border between the lodge and... More

The chalets , guest suites overlook a waterhole which is nice. Late night we had the visit of two elephants which was impressive. The set up of the guest suites is a bit amateur like and does not compare with other tree houses we stayed at in our African trip. Lunch and dinner is served and is not bad ,... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the beginning of May. We stayed in the standard thatched chalets which were very nice and comfortable. The staff at Miombo are the greatest! David is a brilliant chef and catered wonderfully for the only vegetarian there (thank you David!); Bongani is the man that you'll want to take you on the game drives:... More

We stayed at Miombo for three days in June 2014. It was a highlight of our four weeks in Southern Africa. All of the staff including Clementine and Mr. B were super hospitable And made us feel right at home. We did two game drives which were great fun, but even more special was having dinner interrupted by a family... More

It is some years since we last managed to visit to Miombo and the new owners are really busy upgrading but not spoiling! We camp - we always camp!! and the conditions for camping are in the process of being refurbished but we had no discomfort at all - plenty hot water in the showers, good WORKING loos!! and the... Great friendly staff. We stayed in the Honeymoon lodge for a total of three nights. On the full board basis. A pity that there was no kettle provided or in the absence of that early morning tea / coffee brought to the lodge. Food edible although basic, lodge very clean and comfortable. Good value for those on a budget compared... More

We only stayed 1 night as a last minute stopover on the way back to Bulawayo but it was wonderful. A lovely place to stay, small and intimate with excellent staff who were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a cute little rondavel but saw some of the other accommodation which was awesome. Only a short drive to the main... More
