Nice, clean and close the Maramba river, granting all the guests the chance to meet Hippos coming up at night to …mow the loan! The lodge has everything you need and the personnel is nice and helpful. The bathrooms are tiny and the hot water may be an issue, although it is rather warm outside and you do not need... More

This is a great looking place with lovely decor location and public areas, the bar area and pool overlooking the Maramba river is great and elephant Hippo etc can be observed. The chalet we stayed in was well furnished neat and tidy however as a family room a bunkbed had been shoehorned in and made the space very cramped, however... More

The Maramba River Lodge is, as the name implies, right on the river and a beautiful setting from which saw 4 species of kingfishers, a snake crossing the river, elephants, monitor lizards and a crocodile. We stayed in a "luxury" tent ($200 US) and found it very noisy the first night as it was right next to the camp ground... More

Maramba is in a beautiful setting! Our camp was good value for money. Green camp with lots of tree cover, grass, electricity and picnic tables. Not the most private camp if full but we were only 3 campers over 2 nights so very quiet. Camped next to river saw hippo and massive herd of elephant passed across the bank every night!... More

Firstly, on the positive side, the chalets are lovely with nice colors chosen for paints and all the things one likes to have on hand (coffee/tea making facilities, safe, mozzie nets and fan) provided. Also, the location of Maramba is good, being between the Falls and Livingstone. And the common areas are attractive with the bar and restaurant being especially... More

For a unique rustic experience select lodging inside the Mosi Tunya National Park in Livingstone, Zambia. This property overlooks the Maramba River four miles from Victoria Falls in one direction and Livingstone the other. Guests have a variety of accommodations to choose from including permanent chalets and tents. We stayed in a chalet and although it was comfortable, it was... More

We were very disappointed with our stay at Maramba River Lodge. I had booked a chalet room a few weeks prior to our stay via email and had received confirmation, however when I called up the day we were due to arrive to say we would be arriving late they had no recollection of our booking. Fortunately there was a... More

Following our nice camping in Botswana we spent 2 nights in Livingstone, Maramba River Lodge to visit again Victoria Falls. Our experience was good, most probable because we also managed our expectation. We found the lodge good and good value for money because it was quiet, no crowd, the garden and environment was nice and natural, the pool was clean... More

Although the hotel served a good breakfast, it was the only hotel we have stayed at that didnt provide complimentary drinking water in the room. And although mosquito nets were provided, there were a lot of mosquitoes within the space enclosed by the net, probably because the mosquitoes hid under the bed during the day. There was also no facility... More

We stayed in a chalet, which is the most exclusive alternative at the lodge. We had a family room with a double bed and a bunk bed for the kids. The chalets are stand alone with a small veranda. There are dark green mosquito nets instead of windows. The decor is very tired and dark, the walls have cracks in... More
