Amazing view, amazing hospitality. The staff are incredibly friendly and really go above and beyond. Kate even went so far as to drive out to the airport to deliver two items my mother forgot in her room. Can't recommend the lodge enough. I do have three minor quibbles, though. First is the pillows. I sound spoiled, I know, but their... More

Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights at the Stanley. It is a little bit out of Livingstone but there in lies the peace and quiet. The staff are fantastic being efficient and always with a big Zambian smile. All the additional arrangements - sunset cruise/helicopter flight/ falls tour were arranged perfectly. The open air Chalets were great especially during the... More

We spent the last 2 nights of our africa trip last week at the Stanley Safari Lodge. It was a wonderful way to end our trip, very relaxing - a great way to wind down. We woke up to a beautiful view from our open air cabin each morning where we could see the mist from Victoria Falls. The staff... More

Stayed at the Lodge in May 2014. The service was wonderful. I can't say enough about all of the staff. The food was some of the best we had in Africa. It was wonderful dining in the open lodge or in the garden by candle light. The main lodge area was comfortable and we spent many hours lounging, gazing at... More

Long overdue review (visited April 2012). Service was amazing! We stayed in an open room, which is an experience in itself. Safe, gorgeous, great location, great staff. They made our visit extra special! They provided us with great information on the area and activities. They helped coordinate everything we participated in seamlessly. They provided excellent service on premise, as well-... More

The Stanley Safari Lodge is close enough to Livingstone and to the Victoria falls to be convenient, but is still secluded enough and is away from all the activities right near town and near the falls. We were treated to exceptional service and had one host that looked after us for our entire stay. There were a number of day... More

Stayed at the Stanley Safari Lodge Feb 4th-6th, 2014 in the Victoria hut. On arrival we were met by Christopher and Regina who provided cool wet hand towels to refresh us after our short journey from Livingstone airport. We were directed to the main lodge where fresh lemonaid was also provided. The view overlooking the infinity pool and the valley... More

We booked this as a small part of our honeymoon because I wanted to see Victory Falls. The agent recommended Stanley and it was incredible. The room took our breath away. The service and smiles from the staff were completely unexpected and really brightened every day we spent there. The food was incredible. Waking up to the roar of the... More

Remote! Located on Mukuni tribal land, this Lodge is open air and spectacular. Robin Pope Adventures has owned the lodge for a year. The views are expansive. Our open aired hut with luxurious bath and king sized mosquito netted bed gave the impression of luxury camping in the wilds. Our view was of a game reserve and a watering hole... More

Great place to stay in Vic Falls area. Off the " beaten path" so very peaceful and quiet. Lots to do here. Highly recommend the sunset cruise on the Zambezi. Good game viewing from the boat as well as a full bar offering. Lunch on Livingstone Island is also a "must". Bring your swimsuit if you want a thrill. You... More

From every room at Stanley Safari Lodge, you can see the distant views of the spray of the Victoria Falls. Set on a hill overlooking unspoiled bush, only 3 km birds view from the river and the Victoria Falls, Stanley is a perfect base from which to explore the delights of the area – from river rafting and bungee jumping to sunset cruises, elephant back rides or walking with lions. Quiet and intimate, Stanley Safari Lodge will tailor your stay to suit you.The opensided Main House has been designed with space and views in mind. Enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, French cuisine with an African twist in the dining room or spend some quiet time in the library or upper deck discovering the secrets of Africa. This half open house has a truly African feel, while the colonial closed suites with private plunge pool evoke the elegant era of Stanley and Livingstone. However, at Stanley Safari Lodge most rooms are half open, which enables you to absorb the sights and sounds of the African bush fully. ... more   less
