We finished a fabulous trip to Botswana with three days at Sussi and Chuma in August. We had booked one of the two bedroom cottages so we could just chill out after getting up early for safari in Botswana. However, we were very disappointed indeed with the quality of the inside and outside. The furnishings were tired and grubby and... More

Dear Mr. Jones, Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review on TripAdvisor. We are happy to hear that you were pleased with our staff, however I was very sorry to learn that the standard of the furnishings in the Chuma house did not meet your expectations. We constantly review the quality of our accommodation to... More

We visited Sussi & Chuma a month ago to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Before we even reached the lodge we were given an idea of the flexibility and excellent service we would receive; our plane had been delayed in London, which meant we missed our connection to Livingstone. The staff kindly agreed to move our reservation, without charge, by... More

Although our visit at Sussi & Chuma is already some time ago ( Oct. 2011), we still remember the special time we had. It is a perfect getaway, a beautiful setting to relax and refresh! A special THANK YOU to Paul, who amazed me every day with his superb food. I was looking forward to the meals, excited to see... More

We spent time here as part of our 25th wedding anniversary. Anald & his team made us feel incredibly special. Our fantastic experience started when we were collected at the airport & driven to our lodge. Anald asked what we wanted to do as it was 'our holiday' & we were introduced to our guides Edward & Gilbert. From my... More

This was our first Sanctuary Lodge on an amazing trip to Africa and it certainly set the benchmark for the rest! All of the staff without exception were incredible. Chris was a wonderfully patient guide, Boston taught us some Zambian - Zikomu -, Simon kept us well fed, well watered and always entertained and Lezinah and Anald ensured our stay... More

Fantastic experience. So many different activities to enjoy, the meals were top-notch, the staff firendly and helpful. Everything is easily arranged and enjoying the sundowner deck is a must. Knowing laundry will be done makes packing easy and you can just enjoy your time.

We spent 2 nights at the luxurious Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma lodge in Livingstone, Zambia. It was such an amazing experience and the staff and service was absolutely top class! I can highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit them. I will most certainly return to this specific lodge on my next visit to Zambia!!

Sussi & Chuma was our first stop in Africa before heading to South Africa. We dived right into our itinerary even though we had been traveling for two days. We started with a River Cruise and a visit to Nakatindi. The River Cruise offered us a wonderful lesson on Zambia, the river and the wildlife around the beautiful wildlife sanctuary... More

We stayed at Sussi and Chuma for three nights in April 2012 and we loved it. The riverside setting is literally waterfront and utterly magnificent. It was the first of four Sanctuary resorts that we stayed at in Zambia and Botswana and we found them all to be excellent. The greeting was warm and friendly and Arnold went out of... More

Sussi and Chuma was a magnificent setting right on the mighty Zambezi river. The game viewing was not as abundant as what we had in Botswana, but Sussi and Chuma definitely offered some unique experiences- our first rhino siting, Vic Falls, and a village tour which was an eye opener for our two teen age boys. S&C guides were friendly... More
