We arrived at Chundukwa after spending a few nights in a bush camp in Sioma. Whilst this was a wonderful experience, we arrived at the hotel in need of some TLC! Chundukwa was the perfect place; Gail and Doug have thoughtfully worked with the beautiful wildlife to create a perfect, peaceful sanctuary by the river. Gail and Doug are both... More

From the moment we were met at the border by Frank (our driver organised by Gail) our couple of days at Chunduwaka were nothing short of spectacular. Gail and Doug love their little slice of heaven and are happy to share it with their guests. Our chalet was just as we had hoped-open to nature, private and luxurious. The chalets... More

We were booked at this lovely lodge by our safari operator - Nature Travel Namibia. What a lovely surprise to arrive at this wonderful place. Located right on the Zambezi River the rooms were spacious and lovely. No windows so you have a spectacular view of the river from everywhere in your room. At night you can lower the canvas... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beautiful Chundukwa River Lodge. The lodge itself is in a perfect location on the Zambeizi river. It has individual units (complete with heated blankets and coffee brought to you every morning) that open up directly onto the water. Gail and Doug were excellent hosts who immediately made us feel at home. Their stories... More

Unbelievable accommodations at this River Lodge on the Zambezi. Gail and Doug are incredible hosts. Rooms are literally over the water and exactly as we expected with open air shower. Wonderful food and attention to customer satisfaction. Great staff who share their personal lives openly. What a great experience.

My wife and I stayed here for four days last year in May. It's taken me this long to filter all the rage, anger, and disappointment we experience during our stay. First, the rates are far too high for the amenities and services provided. Second, we purchased an all-inclusive package which was supposed to allow unlimited beverages. This was not... More

It is most unfortunate the your holiday at Chundukwa last year in May was not a happy memory.. For your information Chundukwa was on a long lease which has been terminated and hence the owners ( that is ourselves) took back the lodge on 1st January 2015. Since then the lodge has undergone a complete refurbishment and it is now... More

Chundukwa River Lodge was the end of a wonderful four day excursion to the falls. It was absolutely perfect. Quiet, no fuss, easy living, and sparkling clean. Highly recommend if looking for 'alone time' by the Great Zambezi River.

Wow! What a wonderful choice if one is looking for something different and unique. We arranged for their fetching us from livingstone airport, and so I can honestly say that from the get go we were treated like VIPs. The short trip to Chundukwa was most pleasant, with Frank our driver being most informative on anything we asked about,at the lodge we... More
