Zambezi Sun is quite different from it's twin, Royal Livingstone, just some hundred meters away. We preferred staying at Zambezi Sun, and went over to Royal Livingstone for a "high tea" and a more formal environment. The breakfast and dinner buffet is really nice. However, a bit expensive. Try the alacarte restaurant outside the pool area to get variation and... More

For the Zambesi Sun location is everything. The ability to just take a short stroll and you are right among the stunning splendor of "The smoke that Thunders" is the key feature of the hotel. The ability you have of being able to go see the falls at different times of day and different lighting conditions with out a moments... More

One cannot fault the Zambian people for their warmth and hospitality. This is exuded from the time you enter the hotel's reception to the day you depart. Our stay was most amazing!. We were warmly welcomed, African style with dancers and singers. So special. Checking in was quick. Nestled in the Mosi-oa-Tunya Reserve you are surrounded by nature. The hotel... More

We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect. Just a couple of things- it was weird that they did not encourage eating/dining poolside. We were wanting lighter dinner options poolside but were told we couldn't and had to have a full buffet instead- crazy as it had a beautiful perspective!! A bit ridiculous if you just want to eat... Couldn't fault my experience at the Zambezi sun hotel. I arrived early at the hotel around 1030 so was a little worried they wouldn't let me check in yet, but a quick check that the room was ready and it wasn't a problem. First appearances of the hotel were very impressive, beautiful grounds and pool area. I was ferried to... More

Our family group of 13 stayed here for 5 days and just loved everything about it. We had 3 children in the group and they were spoilt by the staff, we had easy access to the Falls and yes it was good fun getting wet - we went in early June. The intrepid went on a rafting trip and some... More

The Zambezi Sun is in the perfect location! A short walk gets you to Victoria Falls- beautiful! We also loved being able to watch some of the World Cup games on the screen out near the bar. Also, the singer/dancers at check-in were a special treat. We had a lovely meal at the adjoining property (The Royal Livingstone). What would... More

The Zambezi Sun is located near the eastern cataract of Victoria Falls. I was running in the Victoria Falls Marathon so wanted to see the Zambian side of the falls before beginning the race in Zimbabwe. It was awesome place to stay even for just one night. The grounds are breathtaking with animals roaming around including crocodiles but it was... More

Our room was perfectly adequate but getting a bit tired - refurbishment of all rooms is underway. We could not leave the windows open because there was no fly screen and the duvet was much too heavy - although it was explained that we should have kept the room chilled with the air conditioner to keep down the mosquitoes. The... More

I loved staying at this hotel. The room was spacious, bathroom had a bath and nice hot shower. The rooms were colourful and clean. The towels and bed linen were excellent quality and had a big TV I. He room to watch the World Cup!! The view outside the room was gorgeous, where you'd see impalas grazing on grass and... More
