We stayed at the Royal Livingstone for two nights, we wanted somewhere comfortable and hassle free to stay near the falls. We decided to stay on the Zambian side rather than Zimbabwe as we thought there would be less hassles and more security, and anyway I've stayed on Zim side many times before. The Royal Livingstone is quite expensive I... more

Although there were just the 2 of us in our 'group' we were treated 'royally'! Quite the exotic spot. You can walk to Victoria Falls and there are monkeys, zebras and impalas on the property when we were there. Beautiful setting, staff and ambiance. more

My wife and I spent one night at the royal livingstone in the beginning of October. The grounds were beautiful, and even in the short time we were there we saw giraffe and zebra walking around the hotel. The monkeys were fun to watch although I am sure annoying fot the staff. The proximity to the falls was excellent, just... more

We travelled to Victoria falls as part of our honeymoon thinking we were staying at the zambezi sun only to be told on check-in that we had been upgraded to the Royal Livingstone as it was our honeymoon. The Royal Livingstone has it all, the location right on the shore of the Zambezi river with the falls in view (Check... more

Fantastic location, excellent accommodation and the food was very good as well. This is a flavour of typical colonial Africa. Recommend taking a boat trip to the edge of the Falls and a walk across the bridge into Zimbabwe is worth it to see the Falls from that side. We had no problems although a bit of a wait at... more

The Royal Livinsgone, which is situated on the edge of the Zambezi River overlooking the mighty Victoria Falls, has to be one of the best hotel sites in the world. Totally relaxing, excellent service and genuine friendly people. more

Although we didn't actually stay at the hotel, we enjoyed High Tea and sunsets from the deck overlooking the river. High Tea was well worth it and listening to the hippos laughing and watching the staff chase those pesky monkeys away as the sun went down behind the river was great. We decided to dine there the next evening as... more

This was one of the highlights of our holiday. The staff and Manager went out of their way to make us so welcome. Both the normal rooms and suites were outstanding. We stayed in a room for one night and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite for the remaining two nights. I have readysome negative comments about... more
