Stayed at LB for three nights , wifi was terrible. I wish someone could have warned me about the power cuts. Beds not comfortable, and the place can do with mosquito nets. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, the staff is super nice especially the day security guard. Nice relaxed culture. You can book your excursions with them, which is nice.Love the whole... More

I wanted to love this place. Most of the staff are awesome, the beds/bathrooms clean, the pool and grounds are well cared for, they have movie/popcorn night, and it also hosts volunteers from the organization African Impact. And yet...not all of the beds had mosquito nets, only two of the six stove burners functioned, two of the six showers lacked... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in a dorm and used it as a base for visiting the Falls and Chobe NP in Botswana. Really nice common area with lounge chairs, pool, bar, and wifi. Dorms were clean, but the bunks were a little uncomfortable. You could feel the metal bars through the thin mattress and the entire bunk swayed if... More

Livingstone Backpackers has friendly and helpful staff, a simple but clean kitchen (could use a better way to organise the guest food) and lots of public space which includes tables, couches, deck chairs and a pool. Wifi was free and worked well, the whole place has a very good feel to it. The first night we were not very happy... More

The layout of this place with lots of plants that make cosy compartments and shade , well-cushioned lawnchairs for sunbathing around the pool, a well-equipped communal kitchen and a pleasant tatchroofed bar is superb. It is smaller than Fawlty Towers but much more pleasant. The restaurant sells cheap simple meals and once a day a complete dinner for a bargain-price... More

I wanted something relaxed and good for solo travelers, but not too rough. I found it. Double rooms are lovely, showers hot, and staff both chill & well-intentioned. There was a confusion over the activities but they were understanding and quick to resolve. Grateful for the service.

Livingstone Backpackers is not as quiet as Fawlty Towers, nor is it as noisy or as crazy as Jolly Boys. It is a beautiful property with mostly outdoor amenities that is a great basic place to stay for someone on a budget. Family-owned and operated, they house a local NGO on the property and this offers a great chance to... More

We stayed here with a friend for a couple of nights in a dorm room. Dorm rooms were quite small but they worked. There is a pool, a climbing wall, a bar and many places to chill. The staff is incredibly helpful as well. There is also free transportation to Vic falls in the mornings. One way though. All in... More

The backpackers is utterly fantastic - it's got a really nice atmosphere and is super chilled. The rooms are all basic but really nice, and the facilities are excellent. It seems really easy to get talking to other people, especially in the evenings when everyone is drinking at the bar before they go out. The pool is also really nice...... More
