Livingstone Backpackers is not as quiet as Fawlty Towers, nor is it as noisy or as crazy as Jolly Boys. It is a beautiful property with mostly outdoor amenities that is a great basic place to stay for someone on a budget. Family-owned and operated, they house a local NGO on the property and this offers a great chance to... More

We stayed here with a friend for a couple of nights in a dorm room. Dorm rooms were quite small but they worked. There is a pool, a climbing wall, a bar and many places to chill. The staff is incredibly helpful as well. There is also free transportation to Vic falls in the mornings. One way though. All in... More

The backpackers is utterly fantastic - it's got a really nice atmosphere and is super chilled. The rooms are all basic but really nice, and the facilities are excellent. It seems really easy to get talking to other people, especially in the evenings when everyone is drinking at the bar before they go out. The pool is also really nice...... More

Thanks Livingstone Backpackers for the warm hospitality, cold drinks and relaxed comfortable vibe. Food out the kitchen hit the spot and the entertaining staff made us feel very welcome. We'll be back time and time again.

The staff here are brilliant but I couldn't get over how uncomfortable the whole attempting to sleep experience was here. The matrices are horrendous I would choose sleeping in a tent on the floor any day rather than bare the uncomforted of the matrices. The room was also a small sweat box with one fan which did nothing but circulate... More

My friends and I stayed at Livingstone Backpackers (LBP) for 6 nights in total. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at LBP, though it should be noted that the atmosphere (e.g. decorations, crowd) is very much geared for a younger crowd, though we did see some older guests as well. I would say that on most nights, there is a large... More

Me and my friends had a great time at this place. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Their facilities are kept clean and includes self catering kitchen, BBQ area, bar and rock climbing wall. It's close to town and markets and a well known route for taxi drivers. The rooms do get hot in the evenings so make sure you... More
