After travelling around Cambodia and Vietnam, this little peaceful hotel was very much welcomed! Its very far down the coast, so was not bust at all when we stayed. Hotel staff and manager were very friendly although as a non smoker i didnt like people smoking in the outside restaurant area. Pool and surrounding areas were clean and very well... More

Friendly reception, decent rooms ( mosquito net provided when asked, not too many mosquitos though ). The restaurant was very nice with a magnificent views over the garden and pool an to the ocean. Food was very good ( especially the summer rolls ) and you can choose between buffet and a la carte. The hotel is a bit further... More

Currently staying at this resort and wishing I'd booked elsewhere! We've been travelling through Vietnam for 2 weeks and this is the most expensive place we have stayed at; ironically, we have experienced the worst customer service here. The staff are not happy or friendly, which is so different to everywhere we have been. Vietnamese people are so warm and... More

We are staying at the resort next door (the Phu Hai Resort, which is highly recommendable, by the way) and wanted to try something else for lunch. However we were firmly rejected by a guard by the gates. We tried to explain him, that we were staying next door and that we would like to try their restaurant, but he... More

We stayed here for three nights for a bit of R & R on our Vietnam trip. The resort is well landscaped, immaculately kept, with a gorgeous pool and a nice piece of sandy beach. The downside is that it is far from any restaurants, cafés etc, so you really do have to eat at the resort - and that... More

We stayed only 1 night here and found this place to be excellent for a quiet getaway. The whole place looks like some former colonial buildings and is very beautiful when lighted up at night. Check in was fast and trouble free and welcome drinks offered promptly. Our room was spacious and clean. Bed was firm but still comfortable. However,... More

Stayed here as part of a tour - did not realise that it was completely isolated from civilisation until "final approach". In fairness, the rooms were lovely and the gardens beautifully kept. There was also a large expanse of clean deserted beach immediately adjacent. However, the Wifi signal was poor at best (and constantly going down), pillows were small and... More

I had a most pleasurable stay at the Amaryllis Resort where I found both an amazing venue and a friendly service. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the balcony with the view over the beach and the sea. ‘A la carte’ or at the buffet, both Vietnamese food and European meals were excellent. Coco juice at the... More

This hotel had hostile management, beach was dirty and had rocks which made swimming unsafe. Pool area was very good but bar prices were high and water is three dollars a bottle. Lights out at 10.30 and therefore walking back to your room is hazardous! No live entertainment and food is definatly 2/3star, the hotel itself is only barely 3... More

I must say that we expected the standard of the hotel to be quite high for a 4-star hotel, but we were positively surprised to discover it even much higher. We felt welcome and taken care of from the first day. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially whose girls working at the breakfast buffet and restaurant. The breakfast is... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Amaryllis Resort is located 5 minutes away of the city of Phan Thiet. It is well-known for its authenticity with the turquoise blue of the South China Sea. The philosophy of the resort is to spend time on the terraces immersed within a second ocean: the ocean of coconut trees. Of these terraces, the view is impressive & calming. This is the ideal place to relax & to sunbath. ... more   less
