We showed up in Hoi An on a Saturday with no reservations. The only place we could find for under $30/night was this place. This is definitely a place you'd only stay at if you had no other options! Hoi An is FILLED with charming, inexpensive, well-located guesthouses. This is not one of them. Luckily, we only spent 1 night.... more

We arrived in Hoi An in the middle of our Vietnam holiday. After trekking through the beautiful tribes of Sapa and spending a few nights on Halong bay, we were keen to have some relaxed "beach life" time. Hoi An is a lovely old town, however I would not stay here for more then a week, as it did get... more

Arrived at the Grasslands Hotel in Hoi An via bus from Hue. Staff appeared friendly. One of the few hotels we stayed in that had a lift. Stairs were no problem for us - in Nha Trang I had deliberately booked the top floor which was up 106 steps, as no lift. One guy who was standing around was told... more

Hoi An is a beautiful place, luckily our experience at the hotel did not taint our view of this peaceful place. However - just a few coments for anyone planning on booking the hotel. First, its quite far out of town - about a 20 minute walk (there are many hotels the same price right in the heart of town),... more

Don't normally write reviews just read them, but surprised at the negative comments posted. The rooms were clean with all facilities like a 'proper' hotel but at next to nothing prices. We booked a train ride to Ho Chi Min and were very pleased with how it was dealt with...No pressure and good service and we got what we asked... more

The hotel is not located in the center of the town in an suburby surrounding along a busy road. Rooms are OK . Don t book other hotels?excursions at the reception. You pay to much. more

Hotel was quite ok, but breakfast was not included (but we were told so when booking). The most annoying thing was the travel agency: NEVER book any tours at this hotel. A guy convinced us going to Hue with their travel agency and that they drive over the cloudy mountains and make a stop at marble mountains. I woke up... more

Top of its off is the friendliness of the hotel staff. We just loved chatting with them, who were full of tips. They were anxious to show us things of Hoi an and Vietnam. Though location is abit from the town center we offered us free bikes. We used our bikes everyday, going to the beach. The lovey swimmingfool indoor... more

Very bad experience, in spite of confortable hotel and rooms, the staff is very unpleasant, specially the manager and the receptionist girl. Everytime asking for our plans for the day as an intensive questioning, only to sell us a tour or bus or airplane tickets, of course more and more expensive than the real price, and trying to convince us... more
