My family stayed in this hotel during New Year Celebration. We had joined their Lunar New Year Gala Dinner, It's so exciting. We spend an acceptable amount for an more than valuable room. Our room type was a Bungalow which is very well designed and clear riverside view. It took us 5 minutes walk to the beautiful town. And to... More

I agree with the reviews that this hotel is very ordinary. The rooms are dark and quite grotty with balcony furniture made of cement to look like trees!! The in room safe can be picked up and removed as it's not attached to anything...not exactly safe...The place is extremely noisy as a lane way is directly behind the hotel and... More

I spent 4 days at the Pho Hoi Riverside Resort. Never again. We had a Japanese Riverside Bungalow - which sounded great. Unfortunately the lighting was dreadful and the bathroom was really dirty. Each morning the staff would drag carts down past our bungalow at around 5.30am - making such a racket - didn't matter that people were trying to... More

Was very disappointed with this hotel. It is in a good location but was very noisy. Behind the block were locals homes and there was lots of noise with dogs barking, cockerills crowing all night and peoiple doing all sorts of building work early in the morning. The rooms were not very clean and the faiciltes were very outdated. It... More

While I booked rooms at this hotel, I was made to pay an additional $20 as 'local dinner' and $20 as pickup charges from the airport. The pickup minibus arrived but was stuffed half full with cardboard boxes. Then the driver went into discussions with some locals and then got them into the bus telling me that that was his... More

Not a smile in the place! I believe staying there was a favour granted us. The staff seems to wear anything as they please - no uniform. While we were at the old wing (marble floors and vanity) I do not think the rooms have ever been cleaned. The stench coming up from the sewer in the bathroom is enough... More

Pho Hoi Riverside resort is a perfect mid-range option. $40 per night get you a nice clean room in an amazing location.........right across from town yet quiet. I strongly preferred this to one of the fancier options outside of town. You can explore the town easily from here.........and take a taxi out to the beach when you want to enjoy... More

We booked our room directly with the hotel via e-mail for 4 nights. We booked a bungalow with adjoining rooms (for my wife's parents) overlooking the river. On arrival, they told us that the bungalow wasn't available. Despite me having a copy of the e-mail from their sales manager that showed they had confirmed our booking of a river view... More

This hotel is good value for money compared to other resorts near by. The location is perfect for walking distance to food, shops and markets. It is about 10minute ride on a scooter or taxi to the beach. The resort is old and tired on the outside with a very basic pool area. The reception and restaurant however are of... More

We stayed at the Pho Hoi Riverside Hotel for 5 consecutive nights. The location and views of the river are a plus, as are the well tended gardens. On hot days, the management even put large ice cubes in the swimming pool to cool the water- something I've never seen before. From the start, hotel staff tried to whisper "secret"... More
