We stayed here as a late season typhoon drowned our original hotel. The Reception staff were vary good, but the rest of the hotel was a bit average. The pool looks great but is an OHS trap. There was broken tiles on the bottom, and poorly maintained edges that resulted in an injury to one our young party. The marble... more

We only use hotels for their beds and to some degree their breakfasts - both were adequate. It took about 10/15 minutes to walk to the heart of the town - even quicker by tuktuk. more

We arrived in Hoi An a day earlier than we had a reservation for (we shortened the number of days we stayed in Hue). We came in by bus from Hue (US$4) and were dropped at a hotel on the edge of town that looked terrible. Two NZ women invited us to follow them to the hotel they were booked... more

Stayed for 6 nights at this big hotel in January 2008. Our family of four had a suite (Room 229) which consisted of a sitting area, bathroom, then bedroom area with a king size bed, 1 single and an extra single bed that had been brought in. Shared balcony overlooking the pool. This was the first hotel we stayed in... more

After having difficulty finding a hotel in Hoi An on the internet due to high tourist season and floods which caused a tourist backlog, the receptioniste at our hotel in Hue booked the Hoai Thanh and got corporate rates for us. We had HUGE rooms with balconies for $37US - more than we had wanted to pay but good value.... more

Not a bad hotel, was booked ahead by hotel staff in Hue. Apparently owned by the government. Friendly staff, big rooms and air conditioner worked well. Pool nice and clean, but the water a strange color. Found out after the first day that we could find nicer accomodation closer to the town and much cheaper. We paid US60 per night. wish... more

It seems as though the standard of room is not really based on the quality or ammenities in it but rather the size. We had a big room which was almost empty of furniture and the small TV was hard to see from the other side of the room. Everything was clean. The bathroom could have had a few more... more

Our group of 7 had a wonderful 3 days at this hotel. After a hassle with taxi drivers at Danang Airport and a scary, horn blowing ride to get there the friendliness of the staff and serenity of the hotel seemed like a little piece of heaven. It proved to be a peaceful haven to return to after our days... more
