Where in the world...?!

Thanh Van is a really nice hotel. The rooms are large, clean and the bathrooms are massive. There is always hot water (although not often very cold water!) and the rooms are cleaned and new towels added daily throughout your stay. The added bonus of having a swimming pool was brilliant - especially in the scorching Vietnam summer! The free... more

I booked this hotel via World Hotel Link. The room rate was only $15 for a twin room, so I was not expecting much. I was really delighted when I got there...very clean, extremely polite and helpful staff, free internet, good breakfast, and a good location. I can highly recommend this if you are planning a trip to Hoi An.... more

As I read it before, if you want to be sure to have a room, dont go there. I booked a room 2 weeks before going. I confirmed my reservation 3 days before going.... They called me 4 times, the day I was supposed to arrive, to ask me if I will come... Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes.......... And once arrived,... more

All open-tour busses and taxis stop here and tourists are immediately trapped! It is at the most frequented traffic junction of the town, therefore it is e3xtremelzy noisy! I would recommend to go about 100 m around the corner, there is a side road with cheaper, quieter and better hotels. The breakfast is very basic, every cup of tea or... more

I was very happy to walk into my "2 star" room and find a standard that far exceeded anything I had experienced in the west. The service was always provided promptly and with a smile with nothing that was requested being too hard to provide. The staff were friendly as they always are in this country and made me wish... more

This hotel was a very welcome retreat after another night train. $18 for a beautiful room, with a bath, balcony, swimming pool and breakfast! Friendly staff and a great location! Definately one of the best stays in Vietnam! more

My family stayed at this hotel for two nights earlier this month. I would never recommend this hotel to fellow travellers, as the staff tried to steal from us. We also found the staff to be unfriendly and indifferent. The real problem began the morning we checked out of our two rooms. We were still at the hotel having breakfast... more

After hearing positive feedback on this hotel we were disappointed with our experience. Though the rooms were clean and great AC and beds, the showers lacked water pressure and rooms were noisy due to layout. Staff would quote one price and charge another for tours. They recommended we take the 5am My Son trip to see the sunrise. The bus... more

I never got to stay at this hotel. I made a reservation from Hue before I got to Hoi An only to find that despite making a reservation 3 days before getting there they had given my room away to someone who had requested to stay on that morning. Despite all my protestations they would not budge and were totally... more

This well located hotel in the center of Hoi An is clean, quiet, economical and secure with an all night front desk staff, spacious and well appointed lobby, and an atrium style exposure to some of the upper levels. Rooms are air-conditioned and very clean with tiled floors, modern bathrooms, plenty of towels, decent television, and comfortable beds and furnishings.... more
