We spent a week at the Ancient House Resort in February 2006. The rooms are lovely and clean, the staff can't do enough for you, the food is delicious and the pool spotless. It is quite far out of Hoi An centre but they hotel operates a free shuttle bus so this isn't a problem. Taxis are plentiful and cheap.... More

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel. The room was fine, the staff were great, the layout of the place is charming. We enjoyed the pool, used the free broadband quite a bit, and also used the free bicycles. The latter were pretty poor, but got us to the beach and back without mishap. The free shuttle bus only runs... More

Hubby + I + 2 teenagers stayed 2 nights with river views on new year's eve. It is a group of individual large spacious en-suite rooms which are on 2 levels. More like flats. good decor but was musty. great 4 poster beds. silk dressing gowns. Clean but as it says ancient. generous buffet great breakfast. Complimentary shuttle into town... More

We stayed here for 3 days and loved it. The hotel itself is really nice - nothing too flash but nice all the same. The staff are woneferul and really couldn't have been more helpful - particuarly the Reception staff. Breakfast was really nice (freshly cooked Banana Pancakes were divine!) The location is nice - not too in the centre... More

We stayed here last year in October and I booked the property direct by walking in. I looked at the rooms and the only one they had available at the time was freshly painted, and as my son is allergic to paint smells I hesitated, but the manager offered to put fans in the room for a few hours. What... More

After a long day of travel and touring, we were looking forward to another wonderful Vietnam experience. Our pre-booked and pre-paid reservations were not honored, and we were shuffled off to another hotel. Our rooms (2 couples)in the 2nd hotel were NOT SATISFACTORY, and we were dismayed that Ancient House Resort had failed to notify our travel agent and failed... More

All the staff very extremely helpful, rooms were well done, except the sliding doors to the bathrooms(we had two rooms) were flimsy. A.C was very good, silent and the unit was hidden. Loved the mosuito net canopy. The breakfast was superb, showed the chef how to make french toast, there after we were offered french toast each morning, one of the... More

We were blown away by the value for money and wonderful service at the Ancient House Resort! The resort is a meandering complex with several split levels, a beautiful pool, lovely gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. We were welcomed with tall frosty glasses of tropical punch drink, and any time we needed to pass the reception desk we were offered... More

The hotel was lovely, the weather hot and humid. The staff always made us feel very special and went out of their way to be attentive. The pool was spectacular, just the place to relax after a busy day being hounded by people wanting to sell us things!

What a fantastic resort for the price. The Ancient House offered excellent customer service & beautiful rooms. Each day there was fresh fruit in the room and curtains drawn. The restaurant food was excellent and the best breakfast I have had in a long while. Many of the other guests at the hotel commented on what a lovely relaxing place... More
