This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are luxurious with expensive fittings, deep plunge bath, beds with quality linen. The staff are wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast buffet is absolutely TOP quality with fruits and soups, noodles and pastries, breads and pancakes and eggs and bacon and salads. The fat chips and pina coladas were to die... More

We spent a week here while we explored Hoi An and the nearby beaches. It is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room we had was brilliant. Room 102. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is great to come back to and cool off. Unlike many other hotels we have stayed at this pool is deep enough that... More

I spent 4 days at the Ancient River Resort and Spa during my stay in Hoi An. The grounds, the pool and the room were absolutely beautiful, but what made this diamond in the rough shine brighter than the rest was the hotel staff. The service and the people there were beyond accommodating and an such a pleasure to be... More

We stayed at this resort for 2 nights and at night there was extremley loud music that started at aprox: 8pm each night til late from a coffee disco business near by. On checking in our passports were asked for as they do when overseas, we waited for them as we assumed they would photo copy and give them back,... More

We were travelling as a large family group and were not disappointed by the facilities. The rooms were beautiful and well appointed - the stone bathtub was a particular highlight. The pool and facilities were a fantastic option for hot afternoons and the overall setting one of relaxation and tranquility. Mr Bang was particularly helpful and ensured that we had... More

We have just arrived home from a month's holiday in Asia, our first 8 days stay was Ancient House Village Resort - Wow! What a perfect beginning, beautiful hotel set amongst the rice paddy's. The hotel is quite new, rooms are big, bed very comfortable. Breakfast room has a great range of fresh fruit, eggs are freshly cooked to order,... More

Ancient House Resort is a good alternative to exploring Hoi An and the surrounding countryside. It's got the charm, class, and amenities necessary to become a major player in Hoi An resort space, and with a few tweaks this hotel will be ready for prime time. Ancient House is situated equal distance between the town and the beach, an easy... More

Hotel was ok. The positives: large bed, friendly staff, excellent bikes for riding the 15mins to the ancient town, nice little restaurants nearby. Negatives: food could have been better, same everyday and I hate watered down 'fresh' fruit juice, showers really need a renovation, they where showing there age and if you are over 5'8" good luck fitting under the... We enjoyed staying in a villa with our adult daughter. We had a ground floor villa and it was modern and spacious. However it did smell a little dang, probably due to the humidity all over Vietnam. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The restaurant food was good but a little expensive, especially the service charges they add to all the... More
