This converted old Chinese traders house and boutique hotel is just amazing and it is a must if you want to stay in the Old Town Centre and absorb some history and atmosphere. The attention to detail and the antique furniture tells its own stories. You awake to see the locals at their daily routine before the masses of tourists... More

This hotel, which we have now used 3 times is in the centre of the old Hoi An town area so no cars bus up and down the street mean it's quiet. The staff were great the character of the building just cannot be beaten and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The balcony provides a close up view... More

This hotel is totally charming! The rooms are large and are filled with beautiful antique furniture, at night the numerous red lanterns are lit up which only add to the incredible ambience. We spent 2 nights here when we first arrived in Hoi An which was great for getting a handle on the town and also good for popping back... More

Located in the old town and close to the river, this 200 year old building is rich with history and a terrific choice for Hoi An. You'll have to make some small adjustments as, because no cars are allowed, you won't be able to have your baggage dropped at the front door, and there is no lift. We had the... More

After an abbreviated night in HCMC, this was our first hotel of eight in Vietnam, and it might just be our favourite. It is a tiny boutique hotel, with maybe five rooms; a couple downstairs, and a few upstairs. Right off the sidewalk, you are in the pleasant sitting/dining area, where you can have a drink and watch the world... More

Hotel in a great location in the heart of the Old part of Hoi An. shopping right at your door step. The hotel manager is a wealth of information if you are after advice on where to eat, and where to go shopping. Very clean, tidy rooms with air conditioning. No pool here - but you can use the pool... More

This hotel is right in the middle of the old town, and is amazingly beautiful inside with a ton of atmosphere as it is 250 years old. Of course this means a compromise as the rooms are fairly noisy but nothing too problematic, just means early starts to the sounds of the corn seller calling out about her wares and... More

The hotel is ideally situated in the old city (please note you have to walk approx 500m to the hotel because cars are not allowed down the narrow roads). It would be hard to have a more colourful or characterful room. The small hotel (6 rooms) is a traditional styled Vietnamese house that it is about 200 years old. Despite... More

We tried 4 hotels in Hoi An and "win something, loose something" became the slogan. Win: Vinh Hung 1 has good location, beautiful rooms and great bathrooms (with enough hot water to fill the bathtub). A very atmospheric place to stay in. Loose: Breakfast is poor. How are dry and cold fried rice and noodles even possible in a place... More

One is completely transported to another world and time when staying at the Vinh Hung Hotel. The Chinese Merchant's House has been restored to perfection and staying here is like staying in one of the historic sights of the city. The staff was professional and attentive.
