Booked this B&B based on the reviews here on TA. The location was perfect, just a short stroll from the Japanese bridge and the Old Town. We stayed in both the upstairs smaller room and the downstairs 'suite'.. All very rustic and basic. This was beyond 'shabby chic' into borderline dirty and poorly maintained. Industrial washbasin with a tap you... More

We absolutely loved la tonnelle. Located in a beautiful lantern lined street in the old town it was super close to all the main restaurants and sights such as the Japanese bridge and the markets. The staff were friendly and spoke good English - they organised a driver to Danang airport, did a load of washing for us, booked our... More

Vietnamese owned but designed by two French folk. The building is also world heritage so little has been gone except false ceilings in top rooms. Beautiful old wooden furniture, simple menu, great service from intelligent staff. The main attendant Heung was really helpful with information. Not under serviced or over serviced, just right. Places like this should be a role... More

We stayed in just two night for our trip in Hoi An but were deeply in love with it. There were only 3 rooms at that time. We booked one of the standards upstair for $35usd/night via Agoda. Staff are welcoming and spoke okay English, but they were not as friendly as the French owner and her expat friends to... More

This is a very small place, with only 3 rooms. Our room was clean, basic and quiet (although, when we thought to open the curtains, we discovered we were only a few feet from someone's balcony in the adjoining house, but it didn't bother us). The air conditioner worked perfectly, the bed was comfortable, and the people running the place... More

The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious with attached garden. No curfew. The staff was very friendly to help us get in after a night out. The next day, we were too rushed that we forgot our belongings and got into the taxi. The hostel staff even called to remind us and brought our belongings to us before we... More

La Tonnelle is the small guesthouse or homestay. They are located in the ancient town of Hoi An, really close to The Japanese Bridge. They have only three rooms, two room types. The rate is about 35-60 USD/ night. If you prepare with each other guesthouse nearby, they are quite expensive. But if you love the good atmostphere, relaxing, good... More

I must admit we lucked into selecting this motel as we were travelling as a group of seven and we filled their accommodation. The location is within the quiet part of town where buses and cars are unable to enter and the access to motor bikes is also restricted at certain times. As a group of 50 year old's this... More

As described in other reviews La Tonnelle is a 3 room guesthouse at the rear of an attractive garden-style cafe. The simple decor conveys the sense of an old Vietnamese house with dark wood flooring and painted plaster walls. It's in a great location on a less-frenetic pedestrian-only street a couple minutes from the Japanese bridge. It was a pleasure... More

La Tonnelle is a quaint homestay / BnB which is excellent value and I have rated based on the style and cost of accommodation. We had two different rooms, the last one was a much better room and felt more comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the common area upstairs playing cards until late - the area does seem underutilised but... More
