I really insisted on booking this B&B because of the good tripadv. reviews, but this time it did not work. Jahongir's service was poor, at our arrival the man in charge talked mainly to our driver, there was no welcome tea for us (we had a time to get used to it in other places in the area). We stayed... Highly recommended: nice house that used to be a merchant house in a small alley very close to Registan, nice rooms, comfortable beds, Breakfast where the family that leaves at the place is having breakfast, and the owners (Odil and all the family) are great guys. When you go the Registan, just before the main street (on the left hand... More

Two main positive aspects: great location (5-10 minutes walk to Registan) and great staff. They spoke french, german and english and were very kind and helpful. We had all we needed: blankets, warm water etc but it is no luxury. Rooms are nicely decorated, but a little small and dark, which is fine if you don't plan a hotel-vacation.

This is a really lovely place with simple but comfortable rooms. The courtyard and garden are wonderful restful spaces to relax and I'd only sat down for 5 minutes when plates of fruit and snacks arrived in front of me. The owner is very friendly and helpful, providing useful sightseeing maps and advice on onward travel. Staff speak good English.... More

This very nice boutique hotel was surprisingly empty. Might be to do with the location it is several hundred metres down a side street which was blocked off by a wall and required a torturous detour around some side streets. On the other side once you know your way it is very close to the Registan. The owners were very... More

I chose this hotel based on Tripaadvisor reviews and found it to be fine: basic, decent friendly accommodation. The owner and staff are excellent: helpful and friendly; the location is perfect; the rooms are basic but clean, though the water for the shower is cool in the morning and the beds are classic Uzbekistani beds( (hard with impossible pillows! but... Although the rooms at Jahongir B&B were quite basic, this was more than made up for by the great location and friendly, helpful service. The B&B is tucked away down a maze of alleyways, in a residential part of town, which allows a glimpse into the lives of normal Uzbek families. The Registan is only a few minutes walk away... More

The Hosts are welcoming and well informed. The rooms are clean and quiet (and the gardens a god-send). The location is great (a short walk to The Registan and in a friendly part of town). WHAT MORE CAN I SAY? I WISH I'D HAD ANOTHER NIGHT THERE.

Very nice place to stay in Samarkand. Just two minutes walking from Registan settled in a quiet street. Beautiful courtyard with wineyard trees and adobe rooms with typical Uzbek decoration, sat TV with flat screen, and powerful a/c. Big and good breakfast. The staff is very helpful, speak perfect English and even provides a Samarkand map with main attractions and... More

The B&B is situated in walking distance from the Registan and all other sites in Samarkand. It is a very nice place to stay, with a nice garden, a simple but clean room and a good breakfast. The hosts have prepared a map for their guests, with all the city's major sights nearby drawn on the map and also included... More
