We stayed two nights. Very pleased with our choice. Good value, pleasant staff, handy to everything. We had an upstairs room and there is a nice outdoor balcony where you can sit and read a book with a view over the courtyard.

We booked a suite and I would not recommend any other room. It was amazing, had incredible high ceilings and a jacuzzi. The bathroom was large with a good shower. The room was old, very clean and had amazing colonial furniture. No safe in the rooms but a large one at the reception.Breakfast was delicious served in the courtyard outside.... More

This little hotel it´s very nice because you´re almost in the old city and with rooms and good attention. The service it´s OK, correct breakfast and silent rooms. It´s perfect for a visit of one or two nights, it´s enough to visit this city across the river in front of Buenos Aires. I usually stay one night before I start... More

This posada met all our expectations and more for our two night stay. It was located within easy walking distance of the bus terminal and port. It was right next to the old city and one block away from the main street of Gral Glores. On arrival we were greeted by friendly knowledgeable staff who were willing and able to... More

we had intended to take the ferry over from buenos aires, and spend a night in colonia. Unfortunately, a tropical storm and a fire in a chemical warehouse closed the port that day. we had booked through booking.com but sent an email direct to the hotel through their web site. they responded that they knew the port was closed, and... We stayed in posada Manuel de lobo for a night while exploring the town before taking the ferry from Uruguay to Argentina. The garden and most of the bedrooms are in a charming courtyard and there is a lovely garden at the back. Our room was lovely and cool and the bed very comfortable, breakfast was delicious and all for... More

We stayed at this sweet little posada for just one night whilst taking a break from the hussle and bussle of BA. Colonia del Sacramento is a charming, sleepy town - just perfect for a relaxing weekend break. The gentleman who greeted us on arrival (the owner I think?) was so friendly and welcoming and gave us plenty of recommendations... More

Nice hotel close to the action (?) in the town centre. The room was large, with a good en-suite. However, it was right on the pavement side so a little noisy by day. Other rooms would be better situated.

During our stay of 2 nights at Manoel de Lobo Hotel we had to struggle with the water heating system that apparently was not correctly dimensioned for 3 people. At the first night the outside temperature was close to zero Celsius (July/2010) and my wife had to finish her shower with cold water. Can you imangine that? She was only... More
