Great location and charming but way overpriced for the size of rooms and amenities. We asked for a triple room and basically got a tiny room with three single beds a which seemed even smaller than a standard twin bed. Very basic. No phone in room either. Would not recommend for the price.

Our room had the smell of mildew and the breakfast was poor. The staff did not appear to make much interest in whether or not guests enjoyed their stay. The location was excellent in the beautiful old historic district of Colonia, but there are better places to stay

We had initially booked the hotel for two nights but when we saw what we were getting for our money, decided to move to the Youth Hostel down the road for our second night. For what you get, the rooms are grocely overpriced, especially comparing to similar quality places we stayed during out trip. The rooms are tiny, have no... More

If u go to Colonia del Sacaramento u might be looking to stay at a place as La Mision. Quite, house kind of hotel , with personalized attention. It is a cute place, though rooms are small, they are ok to stay. It is in the heart of the old city in front of PLaza Mayor. I recommend to stay... More

We were on a tour of South america and this was chosen and booked by our travel agent, but we thought we were going elsewhere till 3 days before the trip. This could be a zero or a 5 star rating depending on what is important to you. For us, a family of 3 on a long trip with luggage... More

My husband & I stayed at La Mision for only 1 night in the one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited; Colonia del Sacramento. The hotel was very quaint and felt very authentic and beautiful (its in a refurbished eighteenth century house). Your stay includes a basic breakfast that is served on the loft level of the... More

Superb location right opposite Plaza Mayor, typically colonial architectural style, clean, excellent service. We'll certainly be back next spring.

This was a reminder not to be swayed by out-in-left-field reviews. If negative reviews are only a small minority, one should not give them much credence. The majority of reviews of La Mision are very positive and we agree with them. This small hotel is cute, clean, perfectly situated and very comfortable. The room was definitely large enough for the... More

I would definitely go back. No frills, but very nice people and excellent location. It's not a Hilton (thank goodness).

We stayed here during the New Year of 2010-11. It was a real joy to stay here, in the old part of a beautiful town of Colonia (a short ferry ride from Buenos Aires). All the nice restaurants are within 2-5 minutes walk. Our room was very small, but very clean and nicely organised and unique courtyard. The breakfast was... More
