Nice and friendly hotel, with great atmosphere in Colonia, near restaurants, shops and coastline. Poor wifi. Standard breakfast, nothing fancy. Spacious rooms. Not very clean though. For the price you can find nicer and better.

Walking distance (10 minutes) from the port, if arriving from Buenos Aires, and 5 minutes from the river front for the highly recommended (and justifiably so) sunsets. Great old building with potential ... not a sympathetic conversion - ceilings still high but original features hidden and rooms quite small Didn't experience the issue of other guests of musty rooms, bathroom... Our room overlooked the Main Street in Colonia. It was so characterful. No problems with noise either. Colonia is a gorgeous town with quaint cobbled streets & some absolutely fabulous & romantic restaurants tucked away (off the main street).

The first thing we noticed when were went into our room was the fusty smell. We opened the window, but it was still quite strong. The shower was terrible - the showerhead was broken and the water went everywhere, including onto the carpet in the bedroom (which could account for the damp smell). Other guests were also complaining about their... More

One night stay, it is exceptionally located just aside of the old town. It is an old building but air conditioning is new as well as plumbing, so you can have an excellent hot shower. It is very clean, a nice mattress and staff was friendly. Breakfast is just reasonable with a very simple buffet. Pool is small and there... More

This hotel is quite basic but very clean, comfortable and friendly. The bed in our room was excellent and we slept like babies. Our room had a private bathroom in a very good condition. Excellent shower with hot water, clean and fresh though the padded(!) toilet seat felt somewhat spooky... :-) We had a balcony overlooking the main street and... More

The staff is nice but the hotel is very basic. There was not enough water for a shower, no hot water.Breakfast was ok but no scrambled eggs. Location is good. The hotel is a world heritage place but services should be improved. We stayed on Friday night and it was very noisy until 02 AM.

The hotel was nice, as well as the city and the location was great, but it seems that it needs some arragaments like painting. Nevertheless the price rate was optimal.
