We spent two nights on our way from Montevideo to BsAs. This posada is amazing and counts with dramatic views, great pool and beatiful and clean rooms. The owners are really friendly. It is placed just 10 minutes away from Colonia de Sacramento. Great choice!

This is the place to go if you want to get away! It's only a few miles from town, but seems far removed- not that Colonia is a busy city! Andy and Isabella are delightful, and their friendly dogs are great company. We pretty much stayed on the property and relaxed- horseback riding, reading, lounging by the pool. MMMmmm. The... More

I stayed here with friends for 4 nights and found it so relaxing. Andy, Isabella and Julia were perfect hosts and were there when we needed something but otherwise left us to 'chillax'. Andy prepared the best G&T I have ever enjoyed, with fresh lemons from his orchard. One evening he gave us a lift to a local restaurant in... More

My wife and I plus 2 friends stayed here for 4 nights; my only criticism is we should have made it 4 weeks! Andy, Isabella, Julia and above all the dogs and cats made us feel that we were with friends from the moment we arrived. Our little group had 2 adjacent rooms, very private, clean and comfortable. We ate... More

This is awesome place to relax, drink mate and enjoy the views! You can rent bikes for free and do some cycling, the scenery is perfect. Rooms are clean, very nicely decorated, swimming pool is more than appealing. The owners are great! I woould strongly recommend the place!

The couple that owns the posada is really nice and we felt they did try hard to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed here for 1 night, which was just too short and I think it placed a lot of strain on the hosts so this won't be allowed in future. We really liked our superior room in the Guest... More

Staying at Posada Gondwana was like staying with friends or family, that just happened to live in Uruguay. The property is wonderful, with vines producing grapes, cattle and horses grazing. If you ignore the palm trees, you might think that you are in Kansas or eastern Montana. The owners/hosts, Andy and Isabella are a rare treat. We had two dinners... More

It was interesting for me to read the three reviews immediately proceeding this one, since all three do accurately describe elements of our stay at Gondwana. It is difficult to find, even with the map from Gondwana's website in hand. It is peaceful and informal - it took us an hour or so to relax and adjust because it was... More

A little out of town can be, and is, a good thing. A feeling of remoteness yet close enough to travel by car to the centre of town, Posada de Campo Gondwana is a retreat and a really great place to relax and wind down. It's run by The hosts Andy and Isabella who are very welcoming, but at the... More

My husband and I stayed for 3 days in this incredible place. The owners (Andy and Isabella) were extremely kind and helpful, so were their dogs “Chica” and “Pituca”. Chica and Pituca guided us to the desert beach, which is a 20-minute walk from their house as if they knew that they had to show us the way. This beach... More
