I thought I had written a review for this wonderful resort, but guess I haven't. Given the many wonderful places my family has stayed in, it is quite telling that Uruguay is always picked by all of us as our favorite! Hard to describe as it has a somewhat Asian feel, but also has a lodgy flavor and is nestled... more

The setting of the main areas and the bungalows in the wood is beautiful and the facilities are amazing. Good spa, tennis courts and pool (although unheated). Very quiet but that was what we were after. Had lunch by the pool twice and the service was occasionally wanting - there was only one guy serving and he was snowed under... more

My wife and I stayed at the Four Seasons, Carmelo at the end of a two week trip to South America. Since we were flying home out of Montevideo, I was concentrating on a relaxing experience for the last days of our trip. I initially looked at Punta del Este and the beaches on the Atlantic, but I could not... more

Once again we stayed at a Four Seasons, and we were once again surprised by the perfect service they offer. Anywhere you go, you always get the Four Seasons service! We stayed 3 nights in a Bi-Level Suite, which was close to the reception. The room is fantastic, huge and you have all the amenities you could think of. There... more

This 4Seasons property is excellent! They went above and beyond in every way! We went horse back riding, sat at the pool, had a private dinner at the Gazebo on the Rio Plata, and much more. The entire time we thought we were in a magical camp. The spa is great and there are many different activities. The only thing... more

Since my husband is not a "party animal", I decided to treat him to a spa package for his birthday at Four Seasons Carmelo. Having been there 4 or 5 times, I was sure we were in for a great experience. The staff was up to the challenge and more! From the reservations' office in B.A. to the girls in... more

We stayed here in July to celebrate my birthday. We were greated by name when arrived and gave us a cup of apple tea at the check in. The set up is incredible, we had a bi-level suite, awesome bath with heated floors and a great tub, a private outdoor sitting area beautifully decorated to complement the grounds. The architecture... more

The Four Seasons Carmello is a really wonderful relaxing break from BA. The property is located in a eucalyptus-pine forest. From the indoor pool you can watch the sunlight filter down into the forest. We stayed in a bungalow and enjoyed the sense of privacy....great bathroom and soaking tub. The spa facilities were very nice as well as the public... more

I think the thing that I liked the most about this resort was that it was the most ''non- Four Seasons'' Four Seasons resort I have ever stayed in ... and I mean this in the most complimentary way that it can be expressed ... Many times in an effort to meet the typical 4S client's expectations of a 4S,... more
