We've stayed here in the past and were happy to come back for a couple of nights. The location is on the edge of town, and depending which side your room is on has a good view of Jebel Hafit and sunrise across the desert. The grounds are pleasant, with nice pools and grassy areas and date palms nearby. The... more

Don't stay here if you're expecting 5 star like it claims. It's dirty, the service is inconsistent, the internet and laundry are seriously overpriced, they can't control the teenage soccer teams that tend to stay here every few week and let them run wild in the halls at all hours (4am) and who make prank calls to other guests' rooms also... more

What I saw when driving up to the Intercontinental was a motel from 1984. I thought “okay, it’s an Intercontinental so the inside must be super’. I drove into the drive way with no one to open our car doors, or help us with baggage. I left my wife at the entrance, while I found parking and had to walk... more

Pros - Staff were very professional, rooms clean but drab, food very good. Cons - Location (isolated), outside of the building looked like a prison, flies around the hotel during the winter months a real problem due to a date plantation at the rear of the hotel. more

We spent 5 nights here on a business trip for which it was fine but if I'd come on holiday I'd have been very disappointed. The rooms need a refurb & the outside looks like a multi-storey car park. Staff were pleasant but things didn't run as one would expect from an Intercontinental eg my newspaper was only delivered 1... more

The Intercontinental Al Ain I is situated some 150 kilometres from Abu Dhabi. There are 2 options for transport – a taxi at the airport or arranging with the hotel to pick you up – we went for the latter, circa £5-£10 more expensive but the driver waits for you at arrivals. The hotel is a 5 minute taxi ride... more

We had gone for the New year Eve party on 13 Dec 07. The party was excellent and service commendable. The food however would not suite every one's taste. Would recommend. more

We stayed over night. Hotel was avarage. Room was clean, but beds were uncomfortable. Mountain view from a window in the room at least gave us some relaxation away from a hectic life in the city.. Hotel staff was not overly friendly. I was asked to give my driver's license when cheked in. They kept it till we checked out.... more

Treated very well with a lovely basket of fruit and chocolates delivered to our room. The room was a little old fashioned but was very clean and the hotel was nice and quite with good facilities and pools etc.. Very good value for money. more

We (2 of us and 2 small children) wanted a break from Dubai and the Intercon in Al Ain was great. We stayed in a King Executive Suite which was good value and gave us a bit of extra space to relax. Extra matresses for the children provided free of charge. The hotel is quite old and a little bit... more
