I just spent three days with my two sisters at the Hermitage. Our oceanfront first-floor two-bedroom had a panoramic view of the ocean beyond the dune, with spectacular sunrises, sunsets, and clouds before a storm. A walkway leads right down to the beach. Our unit was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Management and office staff were helpful and friendly. We had... More

In our second year traveling to the Hermitage, we thought we knew what to expect from these quiet condominiums located right on the water. Upon arrival we found that Montauk was encased in a thick fog. However, by 8 o’clock the fog retreated and sun began to set on the coast marking the start of what turned out to be... More

The Hermitage is a co-op owned and rentals(must book in advance for high season) available hidden gem on the Atlantic Ocean, tennis, pool, beach service…family time is key here….absolutely peaceful and a car ride away is Gurneys Spa..Montauk..or East Hampton for shopping…Restaurants if need be…or barbecue on site, kitchens in units…clean and perfect!!!

Coming from Spain for the last 5 summers to East Hampton. The Hermitage have been the best place I had stayed so far. Yes is a bit overprice (like everything in The Hamptons) but clean, update units and friendly stuff make it work. Our unit was a pool side view (I think was D7) and we were able to see... More

First, the location is to die for! Private ocean setting on a stunning, quiet beach that was almost private and all to yourself, and beautiful grounds and facility. Randy and Victoria were WONDERFUL! They helped, answered questions and were terrific to work with. Plenty of staff and all were courteous and responsive. The unit, 8C needs some serious updating. While... More

The Hermitage is dated, over-priced and the customer service is appalling. My partner and I booked The Hermitage so that we could have a few days of luxury. We arrived to find depressing white boxy buildings with patches of rust on the railings and around the front door of the apartment. The apartment itself was very old-fashioned with peach and... I booked to stay at The Hermitage at the beginning of June 2014 and let's just say I wish I'd paid attention to the bad reviews on Trip Advisor! The communication around the booking was very poor (my credit card came up as declined on their website but I later discovered that they'd taken the money anyway) and when I... More

My husband said if you like a concentration camp then this place is for you. The pool closes at 5pm the kids can have no toys in the pool. The kids were told to be quite. The adults were told that No drinks at the pool (we weren't evening having alcohol) including water in water bottles. We thought we were... More

The location is outstanding. Peaceful. The resort is standard for this area. But the walls are very thin. You can hear your neighbors up, down and around you-I could hear the people next door closing their cabinets. They need some sound proofing! Will not stay here again.

Just got back from a long weekend in C6. This complex is right on the beach and our unit had an ocean view. The complex has new tennis courts, a beautiful pool and jacuzzi, fitness center, with beautiful natural landscaping. each unit has a balcony big enough for a table and chairs to sit in the sun, eat or just...
