One of the charms of the White Sands is being literally right next to the ocean and hearing the sea at night,,the perfect sleep machine. The property is immaculately gardened, and maintained, the rooms are spotless. Its not fancy (go to East Hampton for that !),,its just simple and right for a tranquil ocean side stay on one of the nicest beaches... More

My wife and I found White Sands by accident and have been returning with our family for the past 4 years. It is situated literally a few feet away from a pristine, deserted private beach that is empty even if the motel is full. All the basics are covered. It has comfortable tempurpedic beds, high-def flat screen T.V, beach towels,... More

If you are looking to get away from it all this is the right choice. The place is spartan yet well located right on the ocean and the front garden is very well kept. The beach is perfect and deeper to the left you have a bird sanctuary for fern and sandpiper. Away from the hustle and bustle of Montauk... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with a good friend in the large efficiency room, which were, the last days of low season, reasonably priced! The room was clean, bed comfortable and small kitchen sparsely equipped (enough for 2 persons not cooking large complicated meals). Bathroom also fine, although it showed that renovation was done/planned (some "empty" crew holes in cabinet).... More

My wife and I were very pleasantly surprised by this property. We booked this place a week before high season and received an excellent rate for this budget friendly property. We had a side room with an unobstructed beach view. We kept the balcony door open each night to smell and hear the surf. Our room (26) came with an... More

I just returned from spending four days at this lovely restful hide-away. It is directly on the ocean--beach chairs are available--closer to the water than any other resort in Amagansett. Actually it is just feet from the sand and water. Each room has a patio that overlooks the sea, with chairs, lounge chairs, and a table to dine on. The... More

I visited White Sands 2 times last year and I'm about to go back again in a few weeks. This resort is very laid back, comfy and relaxing. I would recommend to everyone - it's so calming. There is no AC, but this is not needed. The breeze from the ocean is absolutely breathtaking. The rooms I have stayed in... More

There is not too much in services. The room was passable, if that...bugs!. The curtains were torn and the bedding was gross. There are NO amenities. No air conditioning! This is just a basic room, nothing more than that. If you want to pay this kind of money for a box on the ocean, then this dump is for you.The... More

While we are a simple small hotel on the ocean, we have a clean, well maintained, affordable prices among all the hotels by the area, always making sure that the rooms are prepared for our main reason... <> therefore feels like home. Cleanliness and sanitation is our priority, we NEVER have had problems with any insects even less in... More

This motel is right on the beach, which is never very crowded. The smallest room is quite cramped, but the next size up is very comfortable. The kitchen comes with a small refrigerator – not much of a freezer, but you can make ice cubes. There are two burners, a toaster, and plenty of dishes, glasses, etc. to cook a... More

I booked this motel because of the reviews and we were not disappointed. My husband called it a gem. It is located on the beach and situated between private homes, so it is not in a busy commercial area. We found it to well kept and quiet, truly enjoyed our stay and felt it was priced right.
