Considering this hotel is now part of the Russian Federation I was not sure what to expect; however, after having a year or more to let local politics settle this Hotel seems to be the same as it was prior to March 2014: The hotel is rich in architecture, which adds a comfortable old feeling. Every room seems to have... More

The hotel seems to be follow the new Crimean habit of shaking down the few foreign tourists that come in. They first tried to charge Rub 6,500 claiming no other rooms before going down to a more realistic 3,700 and than Rub 3,400. The hotel has no reinvested in their rooms and the owner is AWOL. You can only use... More

Location of the hotel is central and in walking distance to everywhere. The rooms are large but very old style, needs renovation. However they are clean. Hotel staff is friendly. Breakfast needs some improvement.

The location is very good. The rooms and decoration are old and not very comfortable. The central heating system was not working and I used airconditioner whole night because the room was very cold. Did not like the breakfast. The hotel need a refurbishment. Lower your expectation and enjoy the city.

We often do a lads trip round Ukraine, and normally use this as our base in the south. I say "Lads" most of our group are the slow side of middle age (sorry guys), so we're reasonably behaved. Anyway we keep coming back as the hotel is incredible. It's decor is sumptuous and luxurious. Marble everywhere! The staff are always... More

This hotel is considered to be very posh by the locals, and it seems so as as well, as the entrance hall and restaurant are dressed in gold and draped with velvet. However, the rooms are very sad, with small uncomfortable beds and cheep linen, lumpy pillows and distasteful functional furniture. Everything in this hotel is in urgent need of... More

Lovely hotel in Simferopol. Good location, spacious and clean rooms (with airconditioning), as well as a very welcoming restaurant. Simferopol is a great start for exploring the Crimea. Being a non-russian speaker finding your way around is nevertheless quite challenging. The lovely staff at the Ukraina hotel reception however were very helpfull and made our stay unforgettable. Exceptional hospitality.

Convenient for the City Centre and about a mile I would say from the Railway Station. The hotel is of good quality and the room was clean. Excellent Air Conditioning..and it was really needed! Let us book in three hours early. Good breakfast, although I suspect like most West Europeans, we find it strange to have Chicken Broth on the... More

The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast includes wonderful, fresh cucumber and tomato and a nice variety of different foods. It seems like a well run, full service establishment.
