The Kaspiy hotel in Dnepropetrovsk is indeed a hidden gem. I've been to Dnepr 4 times and have stayed at both the Kaspiy and at the Grand Ukraine. The Kaspiy is much newer, looks only a few years old. The location is great only a block from the Reporter restaurant and cafe and other shopping. One block off Karla Marksa. Staff is understated and professional. The english spoken at the front desk may not be as crisp as a larger hotel, not a concern at all really just speak a little slower and enjoy your host's professional demeanor. The hotel could not be cleaner. The rooms are furnished with fine rugs and paintings, well above standard hotel fare anywhere. The restaurant is just wonderful, wide variety of native Ukrainian food, not to be missed for dinner, so uncommon for those used to hotel food in the US.
